  1. I was taught when it comes to the pivot think “uncomfortable, comfortable” meaning when you rotate that front foot it engages your hips in an uncomfortable way, so you pivot your hips around until you are back in a comfortable stance. Boom pivot. Clean stuff man🥊

  2. Yes but you don't teach that to beginners. This is an advanced step but an optional one. For beginners you simply catch the jab and use your shoulder to parry the backhand. Alternatively a slip and then role with a pivot and lead hook.
