First and foremost, if our dear Graham had been married, by now his children would be adults and probably with dozens of grand children, and maybe by human instict or seeing his wife and grandchildren by his side ,this could have softened his heart with empathy, he could have compared the situation of children in gaza under the tons of rubles with his grand children, may be his wife could convince him enough of occupation, enough of brutallity taking place in the occupied West Bank, enough of land grab ,enough of settlements, even now its not to late to get a wife, its good for your mental health.
