This is my judo training session with Travis Stevens, from a while back. He's a 2016 Olympic silver medalist in judo and one of the greatest American judoka ever. I've trained judo & jiu jitsu for many years. I love judo!
Here's my previous podcast conversations on judo:
– Travis Stevens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiNpESmPioQ
– Jimmy Pedro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uy1fX2vOAEE
Отлично!
The Devil is in the details. Excellent.
AWESOME 👍
Of course he is into bjj and grappling when he has the physique of a 12 year old girl xaxa.
Every girl who trains judo seriously for 7-8 years and is 12-13 years old is curpulent for him, look at his torso, shoulders and arms like a child trying to develop.
I guess it's that dangerous sport of bjj that develops you so physically
here bc andrew rousso, this guys has inflection, idk what he's thinking
MORE!!!!!!!!!
Don't forget six blades w Xande Ribeiro …
God, I always find Travis’s game so clear
Which Judogi is Lex wearing? (ie what company and model)
Do really need to wear that white coat?
It’s weird seeing him without his suit, it is like seeing your father naked
Austin may be good for jiu jitsu but isn't even decent for Judo? Is there any good judo place in Austin, Texas?
As far as the judo here, a karambit is a problem with that first throw.
Ka rädd
I was at a practice with TS and he was an absolute machine.
I love this. You should do Lex Fridman sports channel .. just short videos like this. Then find guests interests and try to do that sport challenge with them..
We need more of this Lex
Good ukemi. Love to see it.
I'm 44. I was in great shape last year so I decided to try BJJ. First day I got my knee snapped from some weird knee lock I didn't understand. F that shit.
About halfway through there was this vision of Lex on the ground with all of his clothes in a perfect circle around him on the mat.
If you've ever done Judo, you'd know why lex is reacting the way he is. Uchi Mata is like getting hit by a fucking truck.
talking about urself in 3rd person as always…. mad cringe
All these goofy angles can't hide that this dude at an average 5' 10" is completely height-mogging you Manlex L btfo
Great training 👍👍👍
👍 Thx
There is a big problem with these mega podcasts, Lex is early days and still has some balance but the likes of Rogan etc have become dangerous. They achieved success through some level of skill but mostly timing and technology. They have conflated this success with monetisation which has now evolved into the proliferation of others hunting this same business model. We are seeing inauthentic mouthpieces delivering content simply to tap into the cash cow of controversy, fear and division. Essentially new versions of legacy media, you are either fox or cnn or way further right / left. More concerning are the voices that would normally be on the fringes of society (for good reason) are now being platformed to enormous audiences. Dangerous times and Rogan et al should be held to account. Hopefully it happens organically but it might already be too late.
Fascinating video – i love watching experts in their field teach and explain why and how things happen and make it sound so simple.
Some people think black belt is the point where you're the master. That's when the learning starts. It's fascinating with how small things Travis makes it completely effortless and almost totally controls, how it looks fairly even until suddenly you're on his back. I just love judo.
Cool
judo is a fat mans worst nightmare. smaller dude throws me, im calling timeout
By the look of Lex's face, damn.
За одно занятие вряд ли можно что-то серьезно выучить, но научиться грамотно приземляться после броска дорогого стоит.
Looks well-worth it but complicated. Anything good is not easy.
Dang! Very cool.
