In my view, given that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has openly advocated for anti-immigration demonstrations around the US, every, single, ILLEGAL immigrant who is a Mexican national, should be immediately deported. I don't care if they have been in the US for 40 years, if they are here illegally, they should be returned to Mexico. That is EXACTLY what Mexican authorities do to ILLEGAL residents of Mexico, so let the US simply treat Mexican citizens the same way.
Mexico still grieves that they were not powerful enough to defeat the US in the Mexican-American War in 1848 forcing Mexico to cede much of what is now the Western US. The land was a condition for the resolution of a War that Mexico lost. It wasn't "stolen". President Sheinbaum is openly encouraging the revolt of US residents as retribution for ceding that land to the US in the 1840's. If people LEGALLY immigrated to the US (as did I) they are welcome to stay with no repercussions, IMO.

Also. The government could have been managing everyone's work-check. The money they take home has pre-paycheck deductions for rent, credit-card, utilities, auto-loan, every paycheck. So that when they get $1000.00 this paycheck and needed $700.00 of it. They don't rationalize that $1000.00 excuses this credit-card debt. If they got $450 per paycheck. That doesn't look so good, for credit-card debt, is an ellation when the paycheck comes.
There's more the Government could do. Like supply $6,000.00 food-vouchers and $4,000.00 rent-vouchers, to all populace below $100,000.00 per year. Then it could take the $4,000 cash, and deposit it in a house-savings plan, and the $6,000.00 cash and deposit it in a retirement-plan. And take 25% for retirement from all citizens. And take 16.66% for house-purchase from all citizens ("Americans").
And this would help the populace be monitored and successful at winning at life. And storing value. Not crime-failing is a sickness-of-Egypt plage from Moses upon them.

This tax money should go, soley to fund the Social Security program (of retirement paychecks or supplement) for retirees.
(The Social Security retirees are around 55 million in number. The populace is 320 million. The total cost last year was 1.337 trillion dollars. That's $24,309 per person.)
Some people rent 50 to 100 movies per year. And also. Theater-goers were over 1 billion a few years ago (2019?).
2. The auto. Is a sort of golden calf we park in our drive-way. I propose a (17% – current sales tax) tax on all auto-purchases. Which money could go soley, to fund the retirees of the Social Security program.
The nation is practically giving offering money, to purchase their car. The nation has an excuse to downsize their purchase and be more economical, and not to have to worry, about competing for rulership, is a status. The nation can be employed in doing good for loved-ones like Grandparents in the thoughts of their heart. And. There's a paradigm. The rich are in level 1, and all the poor are in level 2. Or. But. Those taxes, if all voted into law. Would help us remember what is important and the caring for others that we can achieve by our enjoyment of spending on useless things like "when people liked"(Nike) or "it would be an adult-world out there"(when we visited the Movie Theater).
