There is some truth in this but it’s a fine line where you take to long to get set so your opponent can prepare. Good fighters can set as they move and set as they punch and always be in position
Stay ready and always stay in position to hit or defend. Once the bell rings you’re in that stance and it’s not breaking till u hear that bell ring again
been boxing going on 4 years, also coach, competed and won every time. I was taught to always look at the solar plexus and use peripheral vision instead. Have I been wrong the whole time?!??
Kind of like suing your boss, letting him know you’re suing him and right before he starts making phone calls you let him know, I hired the attorney 1 month ago. It’s too late Mr. Man 😁
I disagree. my coach has me throw the jab immediately before he can even react, because in a fight if you telegraph anything they won’t be there, so you want to be able to throw immediately when you see the opening.
One cool drill that was helpful to me that a coach told me was as we do pads, we work on let’s say 1-2. He would tell me to throw the combo when I’m able to set it up smooth. That means if I’m out of range, I’ll make the adjustment to get in range but what he’d do is only keep up the mits for maybe a second or two at a time. Openings come and Go so don’t get to hasty because that’s how you get caught. Wed did this for about a round or so with him tossing shots at me as well to stay defensive while I wait for the opening on my time. Love your content man keep up the great work!💪🏿
Where’s the gym ?
I wear glasses. I can hit blurry people easier. 😅 i only look at their shoulders and that tense up is easier to spot. Well, for me

Good idea. Take your time to think . Delaying your actions also counters an opponent’s trap
Been watching this man coach. No effing around. He's like jump! I'm like how high?

Muhammad Ali was special. He would hit you while he is off balance. Only he can do that
