Lots of pro-Canadian rhetoric here, most true as well. Most of Canada’s western provinces, would accept Canada as 51+ states. But Trump went about it all wrong. Something like that really would require a massive marketing campaign, like Ted talks, Rogan talks, arena and city hall style education, including a lot of factual evidence-lifestyle marketing/education on a grand scale; effectively, it would need to become an educated water cooler issue. Most eastern provinces wouldn’t consider it for demographic reasons and the Laurentian stronghold influence (gotta keep the oligarchs families protected). Right now, considering all facts on the table, your largest border country and largest historical trading partner and ally is paying more tariffs than anyone else I do believe. So you tell me, how does that look? What would you say the desired outcome is from those actions, knowing all you know and then making a best educated guess?

So, we have a Fabian Marxist Socialist Communist global economy. Think of the global economy like a business. The US is the boss, the other Western countries are mid-management, and the poorer countries are the employees. China is our competitor company.
We are all reliant on each other in various ways. The West is rich, so we are tariffed, taxed, and used the most. The US is the richest, so we get milked the most even from our "allies." All of the poorer countries are enslaved to the West via all of our manufacturing jobs and tariffs. China is dependent on us to us, too. However, they are the master manipulators and burglars. In order to get ahead of their competition, they steal our technology and cheat their way to the top.
China is the Puppet master. They use the poorer countries by buying up their land and resources and then make deals with them to sell and manufacture China's products through their countries to avoid US tariffs all the while undercutting the poorer countries depleting their resources and people. They make a surplus of cheap, flimsy, and unreliable products and flood the market with their product via large corporations like Amazon and whole sale companies. Product that we constantly have to replace, which further enslaving us because it's cheap and convenient. Undercutting the West's small business products, which are more expensive but durable products weakening and eventually collapsing our small businesses.
Our "allies" as well as our leftist leaders and rich in the US
have also made deals with China in order to obtain power and money.
They (Davos, our allies in the West, and China) are using Climate Change as a fear tactic to have us all willingly give up our freedoms and further make us reliant on China and them for "green energy" products. The components of green energy products are mostly obtained through China, which further enslaved us to them. The other countries that contain rare earth minerals are Canada, which, via the leftist Davos leadership, are restricting mining, oil production, etc, because they are in bed with China. The Ukraine and Greenland are being controlled by our allies and by proxy China.
China also takes over our trading routes via the Belt Road Initiative. Our planes and their electrical components are all made from flimsy Chinese parts and are experiencing problems further limiting our trade and forcing poorer countries to rely on China even further.
Because China has its tentacles in every countries economy, if Trump tariffs all of them, he effectively strangles China's economy.
Every country freaking out the most has the most to lose. The longer Trump holds out the weaker China's ties on us and the world.
China is trying to collapse our economy from within infiltrating every facet of the government via the leftist leaders, judges, mainstream media, and schools. Russia, Iran, Palestine, and leftist elites via mainstream media, schools, gangs, protestors, illegal aliens, etc. are pawns. They use our human nature against us. Our kindness, greed, sympathy, forgiveness, fear, tolerance, vengence, love, pychy, mentally ill, disabled, elderly, vulnerable illegal aliens, etc against us.
