The statue IS Lucifer and I'll explain why below:
1. Venus is 'the morning star' the star that is associated with Lucifer. The Synodic period of Venus (the time it takes for that planet to return to the same position in the sky relative to the Earth and Sun) is 584 days. The Statue of Liberty faces southeast, Venus is only aligned as 'the morning star' to the eyes of the Statue of Liberty on certain dates. On those dates, the Statue of Liberty is facing south-east as usual watching 'the morning star' (visible just before sunrise) in perfect alignment. So if we say that the statue is Lucifer, that means that on certain rare dates Lucifer, the statue, is gazing directly at his celestial counter part in the sky just before and during the rising sun.
