Do people know that celebrities can buy buckets of bot followers? Every social media platform does it. So… all the real people can block whomever they want and their PR teams will just buy more bots to fill in the losses. "On the internet no one knows you're a dog (or a bot)." "The Revolution will not be televised!"
the Met Gala shouldn't have been the straw that broke the camel's back when it comes to these issues it's only the people who give an unnecessary amount of sympathy towards the celebrities who were responsible for their own self-inflicted deaths (with biography films on Netflix and Google Doodles and whatnot)
I hope it is! Inshallah it is. I hate, resent, and distain those who act like they are Propet Muhammad just for their art. Suddenly youre jesus and your actions are Excusable no matter what you do? No! Keep us your iman everybody.
8 months later: people are still idolizing celebrities whether we like it or not and the "digitine movement" fad died faster than you can say slacktivism.🤣
Also, it’s January 2025. How do you feel about LA being burned to the ground? You know considering the fact that many of the homes that were destroyed belonged to celebrities like Paris Hilton, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, the late Mathew Perry, etc? Do you feel better now?🙃
people also need to understand that there are bigger global issues going on in this world than the deaths of their favorite celebrities (especially if they are self-inflicted)
A majority of actors never went to college. Some didn't graduate hs. Why should they talk about anything other than their job? I do not understand this attitude. These people aren't smarter or more informed than anyone else. I don't listen to a word they say about anything. The good Lord gave us a brain for a reason. Edit: words
Why do we need celebrities to educate us who the f are they?? Nonsense .. and Gaza how come no one just does the obvious ask hamas to return the hostage the war will be over in a second hamas is killing their own people stop gaslighting Israel! 🇮🇱
The thing is that some people will say "i will block" and then they will say "oh let me just listen to one more song and go on and biy albums of them" thts the problem some people are still following them like a cult
No one is better than anyone. A lot of these celebrities are bad influence and I am glad people are finally realizing, especially our younger generation. Hollywood is EVIL! And does not care about anyone. Why should most celebrities that are negatively influencing our younger generation so wealthy? because of the fans, meanwhile people are struggling not only financially, but parents raising young individuals who are negatively influenced by these evil celebrities. I believe this is just the beginning to something bigger that will unfold
I read this book about the Mafia years ago. One chapter was about Al Capone. Anyways, during the 20's, he was idolized as a kind anti-hero. Every schoolboy knew his name, and people would read about him daily in the paper, cheering him on with his exploits and run-ins with police. But then The St. Valentine's Day massacre happened, where Capone gunman brutally murdered 6 members of a rival gang. And then, the Great Depression happened, and now everyone was broke. Now everyone was dealing with very difficult times. Now, people could barely afford the newspaper to read about Capone, and that is when the tide began to shift against him. Nobody wanted to hear about Capone flouting the law, rolling in his millions, literally getting away with murder. Shortly afterwards he was handed 11 years for tax evation – the stiffest penalty for such given at that time. Okay, my point here I think can be drawn from Capone's story, and what the Creator of this video says herself: we are sick of celebrity excesses, their virtue signaling and hypocrisy, their deplorable behavior and their playing the victim after behaving like terrible people. Things are hard now, everybody's broke. So now? Oh those wells of adulation and sympathy have long dried up.
As one podcaster put it, "Once you sell your Soul your ego runs amuck." I have never really indulged in celebrity culture, so I won't really miss it. Pretty bodies ugly Souls!
Dang people decided to dismiss celebs because the price of the met gala ticket? It was when celebs were acting like monsters, dismissing the people that made them famous or a somebody, paying their way out of crimes, just outright trash. I never idolized them and I’m 40. It was when regular people found a movement then a celeb jumps on the bandwagon and gets all the praise. It was when the celebs thought they were doing something great only to go back to their basic bitch lives after they got their pat in the backs. And I just subscribed because I love this piece!

I remember talking about Marie as well in school, I always think back to the French Revolt when thinking about how fed up people are getting and what that has typically led to historically. When people are pushed to the brink and have nothing to lose, that is when they become the most dangerous. What did Lil Wayne say “ A broke man is an optimist” meaning once you hit rock bottom and have nothing to loose all you got to do is whatever it takes to come up from there. The rich gone have to run it pooh think it’s a game.
I'm so happy, I think their time has passed. You are right they are distractions from the real thing it has always been that way. They represent ego arrogance and hedonism and not high morals at least for the most part. It's the end of the old era and I think one of the signs is the fall of Hollywood and idol culture
You actually do a really good job speaking about this digital revolution thing. I really like what you are talking about regarding it being a first step. I like the idea of going on strive and letting the tech companies that control what we say to each other tank for a bit.
I've realized this is essentially my news channel now for social commentary lol. I have absolutely no social media besides YouTube, if that counts. It's been quite blissful
the only reason this didn't really last is because of the way social media algorithms work; trend cycles are ridiculously quick and can change overnight. i do think this is a beginning to reclaiming our attention and time and recognizing these things as a sort of currency.
I've been unfollowing and blocking pages for quite some time now, not even from a place of politics or social awareness, just trying to curate a TL/scrolling experience that's more stimulating and realistic, not so much escapist. i do think who we follow and who we engage with matters and, in general, we should all be much more thoughtful about the content we consume because, whether we realize it or not, we internalize what we see which in turn affects our perceptions.
people care about “cancelling” celebs they hate far more than they care about writing emails to local representatives, signing petitions, creating presentations for class, keeping their friend groups aware, donating, attending marches, boycotting business, addressing their ignorant parents, etc etc. its genuinely PATHETIC.
also, the majority of these multi millionaire celebs pay FAR more in federal/state taxes than they would ever donate to charity, and guess where that tax money is going? funding the war!!!! so it’s pure hypocrisy.
it would be so hypocritical for someone like taylor or kim to say “omg look at me i donated $50k to this charity!” while driving teslas, drinking starbucks and funding the war through government taxes!!!
“People of influence”
The cat: you called?
5:53😂😂😂 Sent Me!!!
LMFAO they are dting

That's a lie because Trump is a celebrity not a politician and he's president despite him being a criminal
💗💗💗
Prince Harreeee and his greedy thirsty wife have helped to make celebs hated for being so fkn disingenuous and so self serving. Just gross
people also need to understand that there are bigger global issues going on in this world than the deaths of their favorite celebrities (especially if they are self-inflicted)
I want the digital divesment too1!!

Because they think they are untouchable gods special privileged etc etc etc f that your irrelevant books rock just saying
Just take the example of plastic surgery in the attempt at the stoppage of time.
What is the plan for if and when celebrities do start speaking out?
Thanks!
The people who started blocking and dropping celebs during that era are still doing celebrity worship like the hypocrites they are
Finally a voice for my thoughts. Thank you so much❤
75k for crap , cellouts and lots of mind fuck ….wow crap is expensive.
It’s about time! These celebrities are finished!

no more we are sick of the twisted life style they live if they don't have strong family and Christian values they are blocked and gone bye bye.
Is this woman married??!
I can't stop staring.
She is alive.
Not many can reach these levels and not many above.

Like Kwame Ture stated,” It’s easy to pump propaganda into you when you’re at your most relaxed state. Consuming ENTERTAINMENT.”

Let's face it, all you guys want is for celebrities to back your politcal opinions. I actually prefer they stfu and stay out of things.
I cut off all social media this year. It’s all phony.
Wasn’t talking about my favorite book
I've realized this is essentially my news channel now for social commentary lol. I have absolutely no social media besides YouTube, if that counts. It's been quite blissful
Here for It
"The people have no bread"…….."Let them eat cake"…………

Great video!! Spot on!
For 75.000 you could by two 3-bedroom apartments in my home town 😭😭😭
