All greats have to pass the baton on once age and technique become old and foreseeable for the opponents. Pete Sampras passed the baton on to Roger Federer and Mike Tyson was really old news by 2004-05…but Iron Mike will be the best boxer of all times (ok Mohammed Ali exception maybe) and the era mid-late 80s to end 90s was the glory times for him. 58 fights and 6 losses…that is some success in my book.

You're talking about great Holifield fighting skills which is not untrue, but what you're not mentioning is the Holifield dirty head buts carried through both fights which influenced the outcome of the first fight and lead to Mike's frustration and ear bite in the second fight.

I’m a big fan of Tyson. He’s a very nice guy. I’ve never met him before but I know he’s a nice guy. The only thing is he has a short temper. You can’t mess with him too much other than that he’s cool, but if you mess with him too much then, he’ll probably beat the crap out of you.
You can tell after his mentor died. Everything changed about him. He was never the same. His boxing was never the same..
His mentor was the only one that really loved him and cared about him the most when he died everybody turned on him and started taking advantage of the money and little by little that’s what broke Mike Tyson down.
