  1. In the spoiler, I know the iPad Air M2 and the iPad Pro M4 cannot cross the MacBook but they come very close especially the M4 iPad Pro. And I think people seem to forget that the iPad is a tablet that’s not meant to be running macOS in the first place. It’s meant as a companion to go with your MacBook and your iPhone in between if you will.

  2. If they would just get iPad os to do what you can on Mac OS it would be perfect. I love my m1 iPad Pro and use it for my full time laptop for graphic design and art business. It can be tough at times but still easily can be done.

  3. Playing devils advocate here.. Wouldn't a 2 in 1 macbook be totally rad! Now I understand it may defeat the purpose of having an Ipad and Macbook as separate entities. Which gives you the option of having one of the other or both; all depending on what your need is but as for someone who wants both without spending thousands of dollars on two separate products, it'd be a cool concept tbh. Should the day they announce this drop I'd be highly interested in purchasing that.

I mean, Samsung has come out with their own 2 in 1 product. I am currently waiting for more thorough reviews on the Galaxy Book 360 series before I make that commitment.

Im not surprised if this comes out in at least 10 years when people start really asking for a combo of an ipad and macbook. Thoughts on this?

  4. macOS iPad will never happen, why? Apple dominates the tablet market and the creative laptop market, why would they merge two markets into one and make a decent product instead of making great products for both, they wouldn’t

  5. the air m2 doesn’t worth 600$ , and it’s a scam. The pro m2 is now 700$ from original 800$, what you get extra? 120 hz, 2 camera, Lidar , 4 speakers , fast usb c …. All this worth much more than 100$

  6. Just say you want a Surface Pro. You want a tablet with a full OS. Get a Surface Pro. While they’ve cannibalized features from one to another in the past, Apple doesn’t have a legitimate incentive to put MacOS into an iPad.

The iPad does Final Cut and Logic Pro without MacOS. What more do you want?

  7. It’s more like Mac’s aren’t iPads. No touch screen, bad display, no pencil support, not all apps work, no ability to convert, and its software is dated. Traditional computers are only good at doing things that are boring

  8. I need the basic 10th gen iPad to easily read books while at work or watch tutorials. But that OLED 11” may make me buy the wrong iPad lol.

Majority Users have been waiting for the 11” to get mini LED but instead we got something better, OLED.

  9. What do people think a MacBook can do that the iPad Pro doesn’t? I use both for everything and anything and often grab the iPad Pro because it makes using social media and streaming consumption far better. Both screen and sound. Word processing is the same. Same filing systems. So why do people continue to say they want Mac OS on an iPad? Just use a MacBook

  10. I have the 10th Gen with the touch. I have yet to get the touch to work for me. I always have to type my code in and hats after two years and over 800 tries each year. I have tried re-training it regularly every couple of years and so far it just does not seem to work for my fingers.

  11. I don’t think Apple will never put Mac OS on an iPad – the whole idea is so they can sell you 3 devices, iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What is more likely is they are forced to allow third party apps like in Europe then we may see the iPad potential expanded.

  12. Meanwhile the 10th Gen is fine for 90% of people’s needs. 9th gen isn’t worth buying. 3gbs of ram isn’t worth it.
10th Gen is now a better value at its new starting price.
