Nothing cracks me up more in the gym than when there's broccoli head gym bro doing 25kg dumbbell rows with straps. Like can you seriously not hold on to a 25kg dumbbell for 45 seconds?!

As I get older my grip strength is weaker. I'm getting near 60. At 25 I could probably have done this.

Strong grip is essential in construction as well.
How often should I do dead hangs?
do you literally hang by relaxing all your upper back muscles, or do you tuck your shoulder blades together and engage your core?
intro was the most slapstick shi i ever saw 😂
When I used to free rope rock climb. I used to hang on my fingertips. Do pull-ups on my fingertips. While hanging on my fingertips, curl them as a sort of fingertip pullup. Hang on just a few fingers. And there was some kinda exercise puddy I forgot what it's called. But I used to play with that.
But yeah… hanging was a huge part of building that grip strength. With and without weight.
To me, one arm hanging is way more important than a pull up…. I'm 92kg old man… I can do a lot of pull ups and having been training for nearly 4 decades… yet I see one arm hanging is more important….
Poor grip is 95% caused by overtraining… not undertraining the grip…. it's an important sign of overtraining….
I hung for 2 mins and my arm fell off😢😢😢😢
How to deal with open wrist pain?

Didn’t realize I couldn’t properly train the back of my forearms were weak. Thank you for all this info
I really notice my deficiency in grip strength when I do deadlifts. My legs and back can handle a lot more than my hands can hold. Thank you for the advice

I can't do 1 pullup. I started training a few weeks ago & I'm 45 but I've already seen muscle growth….still weak though.
should i train it everyday or 2-3 times a week like other muscle groups?
Whats the ideal weight for pull ups
Came here after failing dismally at holding on during a workout. I found discovered that you feel ab exercises much more while hanging then those floor exercises, but I would continuously lose grip during a lot of the exercises. Definitely means I gotta start doing this daily.
Body on point bro well done
Great info on dead-hangs, I’m going to hang myself now. 😊
Would the one armed hangs be good for core strength/oblique strength as well? Not from a hypertrophic perspective but from a strength one as i imagine just hanging dead with a 45 in your hand wouldnt be optimal for either core or forearm development
Bro is the henry cavill of calisthenics.
