You guys all realize that braids exist in many cultures, including ancient super white Northern European Scandinavian cultures, also known as the Vikings, right?
I’m part danish and we wear braids. It is part of our culture too. While our style of braids might look a little bit different, I don’t understand why we can’t share the best of our cultures. And for Pete’s sake, it’s a hair style. I believe there are also French braids. We are in a county full of diversity. If we don’t share the best of each other. why did we choose to be in a country that is free, and full of a vast range of peoples? Our family is only a couple generations old here in America. We are immigrants. Our family came to America legally, through the San Francisco port. I am all kinds of mixed up races. My great grandpa changed our family name when he came to America because they were discriminated against for their name, accent, and where they came from. You can’t tell by just looking at someone what race they are or what struggles they’ve had to overcome. Even if they’re very pale like I am. I am disabled and fall under the poverty line, but consider myself very blessed to have God in my life and a wide range of friends and family from different backgrounds and Heritage. Just because I am a white looking middle-aged woman does it mean I am some rich, rude Karen.But I get lumped in with a bunch of rich people with bad attitudes. I love all peoples, because each person I meet has a different life story. I respect other people’s heritage, but I don’t believe we should treat each other differently just because we look differently or come from a particular country. I pray that we can all find the best in ourselves and share it with each other. Thank you for your show , you bring light to some things that just don’t make sense in our country. I will continue to love people for who they are, not what they look like. Please fellow Americans, can we unify and share God‘s love with each other?
