  1. Do a bit of research. The other day I told my dog "Latte, lay down" to which all of a sudden I hear Siri say "Ok". At no time did I say Siri. this is very concerning, and yet Apple comes down on Meta, Alexa and Google?

  2. I want Sky’s voice back.
I don’t know why people are hating on it. Are we so used to bitter voices? Do you want a nagging voice? It’s not just female voices, they have male voices also.

  3. I disagree about Google and your view on Duplex but, I respect your view. I hope Apple pulls through, otherwise people are left dead in the water but there's some innovation in Samsung and Pixel that are useful to me, currently using Pixel 8 Pro. I'm thinking of getting my mother and iPhone and Apple Watch because of the life saving features. If they can incorporate it into the watch that'd be great, meaning conversational chat, because my mom is in the Stone age with tech. She considers the remote difficult. Otherwise I hope Samsung or Pixel can help. She's 80 and recently had a heart attack so voice choices, though annoying, are first world problems to me though I'm sure they'd bug her too. Google Assistant, at least the original, let's you choose a neutral male voice too. I think my call screening is defaulted to that as well. Btw Apple doesn't respect privacy as much as you'd think per an article I read once. I wish I'd saved it. Neither does Google but that's the age we live in. Even before the Internet I remember when you did business with someone or went to the Dr, you got junk mail. Someone always had your info but it might vary with the state a bit but Uncle Sam always has your info. That can be good or bad depending but in this country it's not so bad. They even respect activists and Chomsky even has a YouTube channel I think. Anyway I'm going on a bit. Honestly I think Apple could create its own assistant. They're talented. Why outsource that to the competition or people who don't have it together as much as Apple does? Cheers ☕

  4. I don't know who you are but it's clear you've never used ChatGPT's voice. There's tons of options and tons of styles. Maybe do your research before you bash devs for their incredible developments.

  5. Literally everything is CRINGE to a certain segment of women.

I hope Apple does do what you suggest so that you CAN be fine with it and let the rest of us enjoy what appears to be a very cool and fun AI.

  6. Add some New Jersey public bus driver attitude into that voice.. “The stop arrives when it arrives” “sit you @$$ down” kinda thing you know. What giggles?! Instill self doubts about life! 🤣 jk jk.. 😁

  7. men really don't require a lot, just someone to help, be feminine, not a headache… if humans are going extinct because of AI, women are most likely the first to be outdated and this lady feels it 😂

  8. If you don't want your voice assistant to flirt with you, what you want is voice control. You just don't want it because it's a female voice, switch to voice 1 and Siri will greet you instead of your husband.

  9. I just want voice to text on Apple to work , really thinking to get one of the new pixels. I have a 15 pro max now I get a new iphone every year. And PS the battery health is going downhill really quick. It seems like. 92 percent battery health today.

  10. When I'm jogging and ask Siri to play some item in my music library, it NEVER works. For classical albums, I try to ask it to play by composer, album title, conductor, whatever. Never works. Am I missing something? These were the guys who created iPods and iTunes but it doesn't work on iPhone 15 Pro Max.

  11. I get why you and many others don’t need a more conversational Smart Assistant. However, those who live alone, especially the elderly, will very much benefit from having a Smart Assistant that feels far more human and lets them feel a bit less alone. Granted, what will seem wonderful for grandma may still be creepy for the hermit like 18 year old.

This is an easy fix: allow personas. Allow the user to pick from various personas for their smart assistant and everyone wins.
