  1. This game fascinates me. It's the first time I feel an intense desire to play a game and simultaneously realize it's just not tenable at this point. IDK why Bungie's model is so actively hostile towards newcomers (in terms of content vaulting and such). It sucks because the more I learn about the game the more I wish I could get behind it. 'Sigh' Oh well. I ain't missing the boat whenever Destiny 3 comes along I'll tell you that much.

  2. There’s no point in investing money into a game where what you pay for gets patched to be irrelevant, taken out and reskinned to be resold back to you later.

But hey… the morons are gonna moron. LOL

  3. The only thing I don't like about the Pathfinder system, is that the Vanguard Path requires you to play PVP, which I really don't like. At least the Bounty system gave you the option to choose bounties for PVP, when you want to do them or not. Pathfinder doesn't do that, and I really don't like it, which limits me to do Pathfinder for the Paleheart area, which I don't always want to do solo, but with Clan Mates, but they're not always available when I'm on.

  4. Congrats to the people that log into Destiny every day. Those guys should get free therapy from Bungie. For everyone else, (who don't have Datto and Aztecross on their friends list) stay the hell away from this game.

  5. The biggest downfall for me playing all these years was being unable to play the raids cuz i dont have friends to play with…, and there hasnt really been a matchmaking system to make up for it

  6. After a 3 1/2 break I'm back. And I have no idea wtf I'm doing 🙂 I forgot how complicated this game is for a newbie (that's how I feel right now), and I'm amazed how much of the systems I forgot. But, it's an incredible experience so far and its good to be back playing with my bois.

  7. Glad you enjoyed it bro but it's still not enough for me to come back by the looks of it. Same old Same old under a new skin. New faction is cool though ngl but I just cant do it. Finally dropped this game at the end of lightfall having been with it since D1 alpha test. Hopefully it works out for them but its my Destiny to no longer play Destiny 2. I've broke free of the fomo

  8. After having officially played and beaten TFS's campaign, this is a massive undersell of how good it actually is. This perhaps the best campaign since Taken King, beating out Forsaken in my opinion. I'll reserve my full judgement for the raid, but holy shit the way everything played out, the voice acting, the set pieces, and the action IN those set pieces, utterly beautiful. Bungie truly cooked here

  9. I'm gonna preface this comment with the fact that I no longer enjoy or play Destiny 2. That being said I still want to watch the story unfold as its been a major part of my life since I was 12 or 13.

Personally, I think Final Shape can be good and might be up there with TTK and Forsaken but I doubt it, seeing prismatic in action for the first time left me in awe up until it showed enemies who could only be really damaged after hitting them with "transcendent abilities" which only serves to enforce a playstyle and shows me they haven't really learned anything from previous outcries about champions and artifact mods.

I think they're doing what they've always done when in a bad spot and using nostalgia as a way to bait people back in, keep it good/decent for a while and then fall back into the faults of lazy time-gated game design and more Season of the Plunder type activities. I sincerely hope I'm proven wrong but, again, I doubt it. Hopefully this is where Bungie finally turns it around but its just as likely to be a mid DLC with mid seasons and even midder "Chapters" or whatever they're calling what comes next.

  10. Imma have to get it to max out power level to end game content . But imo bungie should just release everything free before final shape and lower the price to 20 bucks . It wil go on sale , but alot of people dont even have shadowkeep .

  11. Spoiler alert: even when playing solo legendary, the entire campaign is an absolute fucking joke in terms of difficulty. The only thing that's even remotely difficult is the fact that you're forced to play prismatic with incomplete build crafting options making it absolute and utter dogshit (atleast on titan) compared to your normal build. And even then, it was a pushover.

  12. Coming back to this game after a couple of years away makes me feel like being a kid in the 90s reading X-Men comics again, trying to make sense of a bunch of story events that I missed, and have no way of accessing to experience them for context.

Last I saw, Uldren Sov was a (dead) villain who had murdered Cayde, but I guess he’s alive again, and a good guy working for the Vanguard

There’s factions of Cabal and Fallen hanging out in the Last City now. Those sure would have been some neat moments to experience, and maybe big events like those should have been in actual expansion storylines, instead of tucked away in missable seasonal content.

Oh, and Cayde’s alive again, I guess.

  13. Oh, nice….. Played this mission and my campaign bugged? Didn't get ths subclass? Lmfao

Only noticed because I asked my friends "When exactly do we get this subclass" to their amazement/amusement I did not already have the subclass….

  14. honestly, I think the game was on life support a long time ago. I quit after the witch queen, best decicion of my life. I hope people who still playing will at least have a good conclusion for the game story at least.

  15. For me the Destiny narrative has gone so far off the reservation that I lost interest long ago. They had to pack so much junk in there to continue selling quarterly DLC that the whole thing has just become convoluted. Plus, I never forgave them for killing Cayde-6 and reinventing his killer. I guess I'll just skip this DLC too and close my Destiny gameplay chapter for good.

  16. the problem with this review is, you cant trust a review to be honest when someone is close enough to the company to get invited to the studio, bungie is well known to ghost creators who are truthfully heavily critical of the game; this creators connection to bungie implies that he hasnt called them out for the very serious issues related to destiny in its current form and as a franchise in regards to current and past gameplay, story, monetary issues as well as the future of the game being bleak with the admitting after final shape the Dev team will drastically decrease.

  17. It looks disappointing. Like others have said already, new players cannot even play the old content and get caught up in the story. Content we paid for, I'm done with Destiny and have been since light fall season 1. But I love your review Skill Up, one of the few unbiased opinions you can find.
