I actually have Cleithrophobia, which is the fear of being restrained or trapped (buried alive, closed MRI's, caught in a barrel or pipe, etc.), so I almost understood this girl's panic, but she was told the cuffs would be off after a 5 minute ride to jail. If she really had the phobia, she wouldn't have fought and threatened into the "cuff guarantee." If the phobia attack were real, she would have shut up for the ride just to get the cuffs off. Instead, she started up again. The thought of cuffs was a nightmare for me, too, until I was cuffed once during a stop when I had forgotten my wallet. I stayed calm and fine for those few minutes, they thanked me and let me go, no ticket, no nothing. It turns out that cuffs don't prevent you from talking or moving your body, so it's not that cleithrophobic. She's full of it. The wrap, on the other hand, is a cleith horror, but she had a hundred chances to avoid it, so no sympathy here.
She got reduced to a misdemeanor and looks like 2 years probation (Aug 2024). BUT she also picked up a new charge Oct 2025 for aggravated battery on a peace officer, criminal trespass, domestic battery and criminal damage to property.
