On January 17, 2024, officers responded to a call about a man who reportedly ate a sandwich from Publix and left without paying. This is the bodycam footage of the events that followed.
The suspect was charged with:
1. Trespassing on a Building or Vehicle — Bond: $2,000
2. Petty Theft (1st Degree) — Bond: $500
3. Battery on a Police Officer, Firefighter, or EMT — Bond: $15,000
4. Resisting an Officer with Violence / Aggravated Assault — Bond: $15,000
