I am from India/Bharat. You said everything right about both the names. But, I wanted to say something about Sri Lanka. In the ancient Hindu text the island is known as sone ki Lanka meaning city of gold and Sri refers to goddess Lakshmi who is the goddess of wealth. So, I think that may be the origin of the country name.
Also, in the Thailand section you showed svannabuumi which is awfully similar to the sanskrit word Suvarnabhumi meaning land of gold. It is so weird that so many languages have so many similarities.
