  1. I know he was mentally ill but it baffles me that people ask why they should put their hands up. Because they are pointing a gun at you dude. Worry about whether its justified later

  2. I wouldn’t be a police officer in the US for all the gold in Fort Knox! I truly admire all that do enter and try to uphold the laws of the US. Please God keep them safe in their pursuits of justice.

  3. This will be my sister in time. 😔 Schizophrenia with treatment is one thing but schizophrenia patients that take themselves off their meds… then start taking other drugs… is how we end up here. I just hope she doesn't hurt anyone else before then though….

  4. Shooting seems unjustified despite the cope. I thought they were going to say they saw a rifle or something on the seat which explains the freak out and wanting to get "the shield" etc.

But hey like all government they investigated themselves and found no wrong doing!

  5. My uncle lived with us growing up and was a schizophrenic, but never said a mean word or raised his voice to anyone. The only way you’d know he’s was sick, would be when he had full on conversations with people not there. I would walk past his room and hear him laughing in there all by himself and I’d ask him who’s he talking to and he’d just say my friends. From what I’ve learned about the disease now, I think we were pretty lucky he was so chill. My mom always made sure he saw his doctor and took his medication which he never pushed back on, which might have made a difference. Rip Uncle George!
