One particular community manager, spoke out without knowing all the facts pertaining to the issue. Not only that, he insulted the gaming base and incited people to review bomb the game. All of this likely without communicating with the developers prior to commenting on subjects he lacks the knowledge to do so. Making various mistakes such as these in the recent past and present. After all this the developing team still has not fired this person. Toxic people like that are only going to keep burning you. They're going to learn eventually when their game's no longer topping the steam charts.

Considering that this wasn't necessary before and that some people literally CAN'T make an account, meaning they can't play nor refund a game they PAID for, this is bordeline malicious. I'm glad i didn't completely trust this game (with it being a live service game).

Afaik, they still haven't fired their community managers and discord mods, that riled up the community with dumbass takes from before this whole mandatory account link story took off. They were always going to ruin this game, Sony just sped up the process.
