1700x 3.9 + 1080 slightly o/c and 64 gb of ram.. never less than 30 fps with most settings tuned high, AA off, max sharpness @ 4k
I hope this runs better on my series x than it does on my ps5 the frames drop so badly that at times it seems like my game is crashing but nope frame just gets frozen for about 2-3 seconds then boom it speeds up trying to catch up i enjoy the game here and there but the performance even on performance mode takes me out of it
I love third person action games, my favourite type (whereas I don't really like FPS much if at all, except I do like the DOOM games), but I am 53 and not one of my friends games. Furthermore, having complete one sided deafness makes it terrible to game with headphones so I use a high quality speaker bar kind of thing where I can hear both sides with one ear.
Therefore I don't ever use a microphone in games, as well, the game volume would go right through it! Every time I see a video of this game I want to play it but I am bummed there's no single player campaign. Is playing with randoms worthwhile even though I won't have a way of talking to them in real time? Is it better these days as a solo game or still not worth it? Cheers.
you should do the updated video, performance is now much worse
it will be so perfect with dlss transformer model
1 year later arrowhead completely destroyed the PC port performance with unoptimised patches and hot fixes.
30fps is unusable in my opinion. 60 or above should be standard
Dang… my rtx 4050 laptop looks wayyy better with custom settings at around 60fps than the PS5's quality mode at 30fps
They broke it even more with patches a new patch is coming next week the day 60 patch lets see what it breaks this time
It's embarrassing how a next gen console like the PS5 can only do 1080p at 60fps
I'd love a list of PC equivalent settings for both modes to try out
If only the game ran nearly as good as it looked.
Can we get an update review on this where you actually play the game at anything above level 5 difficulty? The performance is horrendously bad.
Looks like Gears of War a bit?
Helldivers is poorly optimized!?
I expected 120FPS in performance mode and 60FPS dynamic resolution in quality mode
I'm really disappointed that DF seemingly only tested at difficulty level 1-3. The higher level difficulties and automatons tank fps and cpu performance.
My brother in law plays on a ps5 and that thing probably hovers in the low 40's.
Performance mode is so gross. They’re lucky the game is fun otherwise I would’ve stopped playing just for that factor.
"to shoot into gibbs" IT'S GIBS DAMN IT!!!
Idc what the developers say, their internal taau kinda sucks compared to even fsr 2, we need dlss!
Framedrops on PlayStation even in Performance Mode killing the fun for me😐
This game runs wonderfully and looks gorgeous at native 4K Ultra with my 7900XTX.
Need a 1440p and medium settings for ps5!
Digital Foundry decided to drink a nice big cup of LIBER TEA!!!
What a fun game!
Need better Anti-liasing on PS5
never had stutter like that on a drop
The game is good to enjoy until Earth Defense Force 6 comes out. Nothing can top the one and only. Sadly it will sell less than this.
The game definitely would benefit from DLSS and framegen. Seems perfectly plausible for this engine seeing as how Warhammer 40K: Darktide has both, and ray tracing.
I went from PS5 to PC with ultrawide monitor and to me the game looks and plays loads better than it does on my PS5.
Weird, my 5600x with 4090 on 1600p ultrawide only gets about 40-70fps on most maps, with 110fps on ship.
You should really test on higher difficulty settings! When you play on hard or higher difficulty the cpu can be a huge bottleneck with the insane amount of enemies. I wish you would do a cpu only benchmark of this game on different difficulty settings. My 5900x goes from 90fps on medium difficulty to 60fps on hard difficulty. And then when things get crazy it will drop below 50 at times.
