Good to know that the depression I used to have could "suck the life out of everyone." That's like saying the person with cancer can suck the life out of everyone. It is a disease or an involuntary condition at best.

A spiritual experience is not about contemplating one's navel. It's about self growth and contributing in your own way. Kindness matters, compassion matters, self love matters, creating healthy boundaries matters and maintaining your integrity matters.
You don't need to follow spiritual trends, fashions, gurus, cults, online tarot readers and astrologers and supposed sages and spiritual organisations that promise spiritual enlightenment, …just be the best you that you can become. Self reflect and be better than you were.
This is not a matrix.This universe is as real to us as the other side is to those who have passed on…. they're just different realities, that's all.

its interesting to hear this as this guy doesn't try to link his experience to any particular religion. I have no idea whether any of this is legitimate, it may well be a result of particular brain impulses that are released under certain circumstances. certainly psychoactive substance can give very strange results too> however, it does annoy me when believers in particular creeds insist this is proof positive that their belief is the right path. it simply is the opposite of what we ought to learn from any illuminating experience, its merely perpetuating the bigotry and dogma that is associated with organised religion. Good on yer mate, you seem to be on the right path ! its very hard in these horrible times to be positive and I salute you for doing so.
