The only problem HA has is the same one that so many people (especially in media) have….they let what they WANT to happen seep in and muddle up their predictions of what WILL happen until they have no capacity to see what will happen clearly at all. I try very hard to set aside what I WANT to happen and focus on what likely WILL happen. I was off somewhat on my midterm predictions (I underestimated both Dems and GOP…I thought GOP would be up +2 in the senate and Dems would be up about 14 seats in the House, maybe a little more after the terrorist attacks), still that was entirely separate from what I wanted to happen.
I'm in Florida. I didn't vote in the Democratic Primary because I didn't really care. Gillum got my attention by being with Bernie and then the walk back of Med4All and associating with DWS and HRC was the death knell. Voted against him specifically for that.

Goodman is an unhinged MAGA nut who's still waiting for Clinton's perp walk. Kyle Kulinski would butcher him in a debate. Goodman attempted to smear Kulinski by portraying him as a Clinton supporter. Anybody who watches Secular Talk on a regular basis knows that Kyle voted for Jill Stein and has ripped Clinton to shreds with substantive arguments. Goodman is in no position to question Kyle's progressive bona fides. H.A. Goodman isn't Thanos or Batman. He's not even Jubilee.

I’m not surprised by House win. Citizens grievance by the political system have only two choices by which to address them which means if any party swings to carry the senate, house & presidency it MUST & WILL swing back in the other direction, the functional polarized dynamic is structural and so it doesn’t matter if one party ascends because if it tilts full swing the reverse is inevitable. So even if say progressives win the full Monty there will be an equal conservative counter-reaction. Not sure how you get out of that. I’m starting to think we should abolish all parties and focus on individual candidates plus the introduction of regional referendums. All candidates should be funded from a public trough with equal air time on radio, tv etc. No fundraising, no donations, no parties, only their ideas. Ideas free of the political party ghetto. Ideas that can’t be turned into ideological traps which exist on both right and left and I detest them both. I wish belong to a common sense party alas it does not exist. Ideological sink-holes abound and the result is division, polarization, disunity.
Who is still looking to HA Goodman as a prognosticator? Do they still think Hillary's indictment is imminent as well? It isn't just that he was factually wrong, if he thinks she was ever in any danger, he lacks a fundamental understanding of the nature of the game that is being played here.
