Russia is defeating Ukraine and NATO. Why should it stop now? Ukraine should try to get the best deal it can. The USA has little leverage. If Trump pours more money into defending Ukraine it will be wasted and the USA will suffer financially for it. The USA doesn't run the world anymore. It has made a mess of it and needs to step back. America First not Ukraine or Israel.

The problem with Putin and the Russians is that for years they have been harping on the Russian media that the West was degenerate, which led the Russians to believe that the West was not going to counterattack in Ukraine. Since Zelensky was a depraved man when he was young, the Russians thought they could dominate him. And who are the suckers who have fallen for this narrative the most? The Chechen Muslims who believe they see Putin as a new modern-day Saladin. The problem is that Putin does not send LGBT people to the front, any more than Ukrainians do. The men who die on the front are poor, good guys who have good genes and would make good fathers, normal people who want a family rather than die, while LGBT people party in Brussels, kyiv…and Moscow!! Putin is not the defender of values, otherwise he would stop right away. He is a usurper who, with his clan, has taken advantage of the negative sentiment towards the West throughout the world.

Trump cannot understand one simple thing that Putin is viewing Ukraine as US proxy and he will keep fighting non stop until he's completely satisfied. So getting him to the negotiation table, US and allies should bring very convincing arguments which are continuing military help to Ukraine and tough sanctions on Russia exactly what Gen Keane said.
