  1. My parents weren't married at the time of their custody fight. My Grandfather who had gone through a very acrimonious divorce years before told my Dad that he spent more time with me than my Dad did. He didn't ask first, acknowledge his schedule on who did what, and saw me as an inconvenience until he almost lost me. My Birth Canal forced him to finally see it. My Dad stepped up a lot more after that, and my female parent didn't. I still talk to my Dad because he understood he was in a test and passed. My Grandfather stayed solidly in my camp. Men can get better results in custody hearings I truly hope.
