  1. I’m so confused as to why any agency would keep someone who’s morbidly obese employed. Especially in a patrol role. I’m glad every agency near me, including mine, has yearly fitness tests. At the minimum.

  2. IMHO, when a person is a repeat offender for driving while suspended, it ought to me automatic 12 months in jail. If these idiots aren't taught lessons in daily living, maybe a harsh reality check of doing time would wake them up. And they need to up that ante… driving while suspended AND drugs in the car? Automatic 18 months no early release or parole. These bonds are ridiculous as well. I know someone who got a DWI in 1983, it was his 1st offense. He had mandatory 6 months in jail, bail was $800.00, fine was $2000.00, mandatory DWI classes, and suspended license for 12 months. There was no pleading to a lesser offense, no hardship so please don't jail me, no…he did the crime and paid for it. Back then that was a lot of $$ not to mention the humiliation. We were friends with the guy..then all we'd hear is "you hear about that? He's your friend right?" With the tone of how can you hang around trash like that. It was different times back then. It was embarrassing to even say you knew someone who had a DWI.
