  1. Fantastic job! Don’t worry about the complainers, the idea is to watch your reaction. I love this song, makes me cry though. I cry because things haven’t changed like they should! Someone suggested watching Elvis and the Black Community and it is a really good idea.I think it’s a two part documentary.

  2. Elvis made 31 Movies , He has been inducted into the 4 music Hall of fames, His 1969 comeback TV special was telecasted to over 1 billion people, he also sold over a billion records.

  3. Great reaction…thanks for the wonderful reaction. I truly think it’s important for the younger generation to check out these older artists and seeing how music developed over time. I was born in 1960, so I missed the very beginning of his career, but I had older siblings that experienced the whole Elvis shockwave in real time when it happened in the beginning. They said he was insanely controversial, and of course, they loved him for it.

  4. Glad to see this.. I watch your up to date stuff 😂😂… This is my favorite song by elvis..if he sang this in the 70s about real life.. think about how real it is today.. you would think why can't the cycle just doesn't end. It's sad

  5. I love Elvis and your reactions are so genuine. If you can react to the movie King Creole.there are a few good songs but my favorite is the beginning clip to the movie “Crawfish”. It’s a beautiful duet with Kitty White. You hear the beautiful New Orleans sound and the street venders singing at the beginning. You will love the beat. Elvis was very young. He got an extension from the military to finish the movie before reporting to boot camp for basic training.

  6. this song was controversial at the time becouse it was a topic that people didn't talk about. tabu. he also sang another song that many of us can relate to and is very little known, Old Shep. about losing manns best friend, i cry over it when ever hear it, in the ghetto is better known, so heart felt,

  7. I read somewhere that they didn’t know he wasn’t black so when they saw him in person, it shocked the people on top. And most people at the time. Amazing man. The world lost an amazing entertainer and human being.

  8. There’s a profound message in this song.
It was his CHOICE to CHOOSE the African American back up singers for their talent and their unique “soul heritage” sound. As well he obviously loved their company!
WE THE PEOPLE have our own unique ability to publicly denounce any type of racism regardless of race, community or heritage.
    Hatred absolutely destroys from within.
We’re supposed to be part of a family of God, and HE doesn’t have favorites.
    GOD loves us all.

  9. It’s been announced that over 900 people have been in witness programs.
Elvis, Princess Diana and Michael Jackson are among these celebrities.
I can’t wait to see our favorites and welcome them back!

  10. What he is saying is…this happens every day across the world. No Elvis was never poor, but, he was very, very spiritual. He gave new vehicles, houses and money to many folks in the Getto. He had a huge heart. And the white "trash" the rich whites hated that side of him. He did not care!!! By the way, I'm white and for the past 70 years, I have not been proud of it. I witnessed alot. They don't teach in schools how it really was. I was beat at school for asking questions about why the black kids couldn't go to our school. Once I got home with the note from school, I got brat again. My "people", were sick in the head and died that way. But I let everyone know how I felt about them. It was provoked by the federal government, folks. Remember that !!

  11. Leave” your colored girls”. Texas. The Houston Astrodome if I recall correctly. He said if THEY couldn’t come…then he couldn’t either. God love and bless Elvis.

  12. Elvis grew up in poverty. He grew up in the ghetto. He was Black in ALL ways aside from the color of his skin. He wasn’t racist. He was a good man that NEVER EVER forgot where he came from.

  13. Elvis was also a TWIN. His brother, Jesse Garon, was stillborn. His family was poor until he MADE it big. One of the first things he did was buy his Mom and Dad a house.

  14. That was a show he was scheduled to do , i think it was in texas. They told him not to bring the black girls and he told them if they couldn't come, the he wasn't coming either. He not only took them, but made sure they received star treatment.

  15. He was born in Mississippi! Poor! His twin died at birth an he had trouble dealing with that! They moved to Memphis TN when he was 13. He did a lot for the black community. There is actually a documentary of his relationship with the black community. He was a very sweet an giving person. Unfortunately I don’t think he was ever truly happy. Is anyone in the business happy. He was also in a lot of movies where he always sang.. This show would of been in Vegas! He sung this song in 1969, and he was so well off, an a Legion King of Rock & Roll no one could touch him! It’s a hauntingly beautiful song. It brings tear’s every time. I’m always a little surprised when people react with no emotion
