Am i the only one with adds every other minute
Depending on the department you must qualify on an engine before you can qualify for truck or rescue
Very informative video. I like how he took the time to explain every scenario, and what was real, and what was fake.
This guy was such a treat to watch and listen to. He was knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about his career. Loved this episode
Whoever edited this needs to calm down. The 1 second long clips are jarring
What’s really kind of messed up but heartwarming is that Steve buscemi was at the towers on 911 so he was one of on the scene when Pete’s dad died
I wanted to be a firefighter at one time.
Mad respect to all firefighter men and women around the world, but this guys hair line is tripping me out xD
20ft hole opened up in wall … i see you haven't been to my house.
Support your local stations! Even if you can't afford to donate money or volunteer your time, keep an eye on fundraising events and help spread word about them if you can.
Why cant the police be like fire fighters? People like them.
👍👍
dude says that hazing doesnt happen but a quick youtube search provides loads of examples of hazing lol
Are you an active firefighter?
I love the way he says "we" to describe his fellow firemen more than a century ago.
police wonder if you're committing crime. soldiers wonder about your political attitudes in what you do. firefighters save your life, no questions asked. those are the true heroes.
that said, i couldn't make it through 10 minutes of this video, because of the short clips and constant cutting. maybe next time show on the video what the guy is talking about.
Never met a firefighter who wasn't an awesome person!
Love these guys!
You would not take your mask off in a fire to give a civilian air
All firefighters should be entitled to a free ice cream of their choice after a job, especially in the summertime.
Would love to see him react to fireproof
20:20 The dude is already being badly burnt by being on fire. The main thing water does to a fire is take away heat. The steam that is being produced by spraying it would probably be cooler than him being on fire.
In Fire 1, we were talking about a situation like this where the firefighters did a VEIS on a victim. I cannot remember where this was. But they got the window open and cooled down the area where the victim was before entering. They made entry and made the grab. The victim ended up surviving and said she felt relief as soon as they opened up the nozzle.
Adding on, I probably would've use a straight stream with the nozzle not opened all the way instead of a fog pattern.
i ain't never seen someone so rotund say they were in any fire service other than camp fire w/ some marshmallows
They should always take the stairs instead of the elevator. What if they get stuck inside the elevator? Then, who's going to save them?! Like Kurt Russell said in Backdraft, if the floor's hot don't get out! LOL!
we want to see a scuba diver on here
I truly appreciate what you first responders do. I know I couldn’t repel off a roof without going catatonic. I have a fear of heights. So I truly believe y’all are heroes.
Buscemi was the real deal, was an FDNY firefighter in the 80s
17:35 one of my favorites of all these movies on here that you talked about
fun fact dalmation was also use as the siren back in the 1800
You DO NOT want to watch back draft with fieries. Mum used to date a fiery in victoria country CFA, made a mistake playing that movie for them. Did not hear the end of it for a long time.
If I'm ever in a building fire, I want this dude, or someone with his level of knowledge and professionalism, coming to get me.
Is there a mechanism that flicks the hose out when firefighters are just arriving to the scene since they don't ride on the back anymore?
I love this guy🎉
I watched the behind the scenes for Ladder 49 and nearly all the acting personal went to a fire college in preparation
J. Phoenix started out ahead of the crew and one of them upon first getting there wonder if he was actually a firefighter or not, cause he just came of a drill bunker gear still smoking
Fewer structural fores? Go to Chicago's West Side or South side, see if there are fewer fires. In rural areas, barn fires, house fires.
I love Chicago fire !
I don’t know why he took his nomex hood or mask
8:27 As someone who used to be a fan of 9-1-1 on FOX, I get this reference.
there is air in the cylinder, not oxygen. Just a small detail.
Im glad so many more people are against hazing.
I love the comedies usually have more accuracy than the Dramas.
I am the Medical Sergeant for a team that specializes in rough terrain/extreme climate Search and Rescue/Recovery, Disaster Response, and in the rare occasions they needed mutual aid for wildland fire, a handful of us are trained there too (which was my original training).
I love it. It's hot, dirty, exhaustive, beautiful, ugly, horrific and terrifying sometimes but I've always wanted to serve in some capacity and the idea of taking care of the men who risk and loose so much to serve others, here I can give something back to them. These men are incredible and there are so many amazing and incredible…
They are great men… Law enforcement of city/county/state, Game Wardens, Forest Rangers/Wildland, Structure fire, Search and Rescue/Recovery, River Rescue, Jumpers, Disaster control and Relief… and so many more… people focus on the Responders they see every day and either forget or not even know about the rest.
hey dude I am a huge fan of the guys on both types of trucks. <3 <3 You guys are amazing. Thank you.
They’re not called the jaws of life they’re called spreaders or cutters
They must have lowered the physical standards?
Does he have his own channel reacting to other shows
Steve buicemi was a firefighter for bout 5 years on engine 55 in the FDNY and the movie Backdraft was a little accurate with the turnout gear because Chicago was the last fire department to use bunkers
very educational
and informative.
Definitely reccommend for people
who want to learn more about opperations,
you should've break down Londons Burning
Huge marvel fan! I wanted to be a firefighter as a kid. Cause it's the most realistic way to be a superhero. That isn't a billionaire (batman) and bit by radioactive spiders (spiderman)
