Being ADD can be a super power if one knows how to harness it. I taught myself how to make jewelry, cold process soap, soy melts, etc… when I get my mind set to learn something, hyperfocus until learning a new skill. There are two down sides. Once I've conquered the skill it gets boring and I move on. The other is that if I'm not interested in something, there is a mental block and I can't learn it such as advanced maths.
