  1. I'm a very new golfer. My Garmin watch (paired with phone) gives me the course and distance info accurately. I can download thousands of courses.
I'm not looking for a simulator.
What is an affordable (somewhat accurate) launch monitor that I can use at the driving range?

  2. So, bottom line is, you get what you pay for. This SLX monitor may be good for those casual golfers, also on a tight budget, that want something to give approx. distances, etc. and light and small to carry around.
Myself, I would not get one of these.

  3. Unfortunately swing logic makes poor products that they don’t stand behind. Customer service is even worse. Avoid at all costs. Anyone recommending it or anything from swing logic as anything more than a toy with no useful data should be ashamed. Look elsewhere

  4. hey man, you should try to get your hands on the Swing Logic SLX Hybrid Pro. Its their next-tier higher launch monitor, around $300. In their own video comparing it to the GC Quad, its within about 3%-5% for carry distance. I'm pretty confident they faked the charts they show on screen, would be really interested in an independent review!

  5. Tbh I don't need a jack of all trades device, I need masters of one specific function. Anybody buying launch monitors likely already has on-course GPS covered via a watch, and app, or a bushnell. Similarly, I already have a simulator covered at home. I'm looking for quick, portable info at the driving range without having to fiddle with apps.

  6. you didn't keep the recommended distance from the ball to $LX. That is why you showed many fake & cheating data. Absolutely inaccurate testing. maybe SLX is too much good??? your distance looks like 2 feet, but the recommended one is 4-5 feet. CHECK IT…

  7. Gimmick technology. This is good for a low hc golfer who wants to analyse their swing in detail to make minor corrections as they know the basics. Unless you have someone to look at your grip, aim, swing and follow through it is pointless.
