I use to watch this, the Hulk, the bionic woman and six million dollar man, happy days, etc. The 1970's and early 80s were such a great time to be a kid. I am so thankful i grew up before technology took over kids worlds. I loved hanging out with my friends, playing outside all day, then coming home for dinner and watching TV shows like this with my mom❤, i wouldn't give anything for one more day like that❤..
One of the episodes that was supposed to teach the guests with backward wishes something. The couple wants to return to a morally clean, strict past and have probably imagined something like the Mayfield of "Beaver" Cleaver's family in the 1950s. Instead, Mr. Roarke transports them straight to the time of the Puritans: strict morals, religious hysterics. Racists and ice-cold power-mongers – even a guy like Leslie Nielsen becomes scary.
A doctor of that time would have most likely used boneset to break a fever and not leaches or blood letting butt I guess they do things different on Fantasy Island.
2 of the best actors Ricardo and Herve, really admire how they succeeded in the 70s, having accents and being immigrants , having to tolerate uncultured ignorant red neck white trash who only know the hillbilly lifestyle, , who would never accept them, in that time they made it against all odds , they will be missed, thanks for the memories!
Radar has got the most trusting wife in the world, to let her husband go to Fantasy Island "just to relax", without ever suspecting that he might be having a fantasy when she's not around. She's lucky it was only about being a ballplayer.
Nobody got burned at the stake in America. The writer is thinking of Europe. Even in Salem, I doubt that discouraging a widow from marrying Leslie Nielsen was even a misdemeanor.
