Just stop already. The only information that might have been part of a "battle plan" was the mention of F-18's and times of day. But without many other details, those two are NOT classified. We need at least a time zone, and date for the times to be meaningful. F-18 is irrelevant. Might as well say they used aircraft in service. A classified set of information would include units, times, dates, and time zone (usually Zulu), where they will take off from, the routes they will take, elevations, signals, weapons load, targets both primary and secondary, and egress routes. Also relevant would be support aircraft, vessels, and other units in the regions and globally. In the thread it was clear the that the president had not yet green lit the mission. The significant part about the mission having been conducted is that it was in fact successful, no losses, and several dead terrorists of import. They obviously have learned the lesson, they will be verifying contacts and possibly removing contacts from those devices. I had been worried about potential violation of the FRA and FOIA laws that require preservation of all records, even those on public applications like Signal. These are two laws that Hillary broke hundreds of thousands of times. Walz did clarify under oath that they do in fact have a records keeper who will preserve those chats. And that Signal, which is extremely secure, is and has been used for years, going back to the previous administration. Ultimately it is a mistake, and an embarrassing one, to invite a "journalist" to a sensitive conversation at that level, but no laws were broken. Nothing further needs to be done, save maybe training everyone how to prevent such human errors going forward.
