I love Dr Ramsey, absolutely brilliant! ❤
The ear wig bug stoty is so popular that even in eastern european countries we still call them "ear eaters" as their actual bug name
Ngl he had me sold at “whacky tobaccy”
23:39 – Fun fact, they are colloquially referred to as "meatballs" lol
I must admit that some of these creepy crawlies made my skin all itchy. I appreciate bugs, I know we need them… but I could never be looking at them more than I need to 😀 Was super interesting tho!
This dude is criticizing TALKING giant bugs for hanging out together instead of eating each other… Not because they are TALKING…
Love this guy
I did have a few earwigs living in my hair when I was really depressed. They didn't eat my brain as far as I know.
His description of warning colours in insects as “proper etiquette” is one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard
I think this is my third time watching this video in about 2 years. Sammy is just awesome 👌
And, of course, the topic is interesting
I would like to know more.
I love that sometimes I can guess what he will say 🙂
You are brilliant, fascinating information
that guy is everything i wish i were, a handsome entomologist… that's everything anyone could ever desire in life!
bugs! c:
OMG I love his passion in insects even the roaches…
Dr Sammy is so cool I love to hangout with him
I recently bought some little clear boxes to keep dead bugs I find I recently collected a stage beetle
All being said, I don't think it is possible to imagine something that isn't actually a thing somewhere on earth 👀
Here's my objective observation as a scientist: He's the coolest entomologist in the entire world and he was able to teach me so much in merely 30 minutes.
So funny thinking back how bad the SpongeBob jumpscare scared me as a little kid, meanwhile now I’m studying to be an entomologist myself lol
Man he is adorable. Just everything. Specially his bug love. But I bet he's on the bug side and not for democracy when it comes to Lethal Company.
13:56 follicle gypsies is insane 😂😂😂😂😂
0:40 That's called Horizontal Gene Transfer (HGT), not lateral gene transfer. Words matter. Synonyms are not replacements for exact terminology.
Uh, so this dude is the coolest person I’ve ever seen on video
I'm surprised that he didn't do Charlotte's Web. Both animated & live-action.
I hope this guy has his own channel
Does Annie onishie concur?
Thank you! I learned a lot! I've been studying Entomology for a while now, still in my first year of college, so I gotta get through the required classes, but I love insects so much, and they're so underappreicated! Thank you!!
He's so sassy hahahahaha I love him
I really want to make a comic book about insects now after watching
interesting until the anti-meat narrative being pushed
What he didn't bring up (during the Bee Movie scene) is that livestock honeybees are invasive in the US. Theyre European honeybees, and while they might be struggling, they're not at all endangered as a species.
I'm more concerned about how, due to them being invasive, our honeybees are actually driving native bees to extinction instead. It's a much more pressing issue if you're thinking long-term (which most businesses are not). I'm a bit surprised that as an entomologist, he wouldn't bring up this fact. I hope he's not in the pockets of any honey bee industries. All that "save the honey bee!" crap is complete propaganda by them.
Maybe he can do a video on this topic in the future.
Somehow 4:46 the vast majority of them not eating people doesn’t put my mind at ease about bugs
Great expert! Personality and extensive knowledge. Also can I start a petition to change the names of earwigs to something else?😂
This guy is just amazing. Funny, charismatic, truly knowledgeable…. He's by far not in my field yet I would listen to him for ages.
Bring Sammy back!
Edit: 26:33 on… He acts like Starship Troopers is unrealistic and not the best movie ever made. I'm over him
