Only the guilty don't take the stand. Trump said he would the whole time the trial was going. Everyone was saying he won't because his lawyers don't want to blow the case… because he's guilty as hell. These muppets keep telling you there's no crime but a grand duty, DoJ and every reputable law scholar knows the crimes… it's only Fox News that can't figure it out… would you trust a news outlet that can't figure out the obvious?
I'm British. Here we do not have democratic news or republican news. It is quite clear here without biased news to the whole population that Trump is guilty of hundreds of crimes dating back before his politcal career. He is spoken of here as a joke. A sociopath and narcisist who does not care about the people of America or anyone but himself. These Republicans must know that and they are being crazy thinking that by lying for Trump they will somehow get favours when he has thrown everyone who ever was close to him under the bus eventually.

Well the only way he is not guilty is if he had no idea what he was signing a cheque for. The documents clarify it was for the same amount as Ms Daniels was paid. Friends of Trump including the national enquirer editor have attested it was about election interference. Cohen did commit perjury but it was FOR Donald Trump. Either he is lying now which means Trump was guilty when he lied FOR him or he was justly convicted then which means Trump is guilty now. You can't dress it up into opposing statements mean he always lies.
So the case is very strong. And in your country trying to overturn an election by obscuring facts that would cause the public to vote another way is a serious offence because it robs people of real democratic choice. We are taught Americans are proud of their democracy so why are politicians saying election interference is not serious?
The only way Trump would be innocent would be if he genuinely had no idea what the cheque was for that he signed.
So it is an extremely strong case. Seems absurd to suggest he did not know what he was paying Cohen for when even friends of his have testified that it was about election interference. The cheque to Ms Daniels matches the payment.
Check the documents if you are not sure.
As for the jury being democratic because they are from New York… Do senior politicians and news broadcasters not understand the American election system? The state does not have to turn in a unanimous decision for your elections but simply a majority. Not everyone in New York is a democrat and you really do not need to worry about jury bias in that regard as it is on record that one of them is from Ireland and reads the Daily Mail which is an extremely right wing British newpaper.
I'm surprised Fox News journalists are ignorant of that fact and that they have not quicky set the Republican politicians they talk to straight or their viewing audience. It is kind of an abdication of journalisic responsibilty not to know the politics of other publications and not to check the publications the jury say they get for news and most of all not to share that knowlege with their viewers… Or what is the point of news? The term implies educated knowledge and veracity and carries an inherent duty to share the truth with the public.
Question is how why didn’t trump testify!!!!
