  1. Kingdom of the Apes wasn't a flop. Its budget was $160 million, it grossed $374 million worldwide so far, and it's still got a few weeks left on its run. $160 million x2 = $320 million. $374 million – $320 million = $54 million. That's not a flop by any metric.

Don't know why Drinker has such a grudge against that franchise. 🤷‍♂️

  2. VOTE #BradHartliep for your 2024 #POTUS of Choice – the GREATEST #Screenwriter, #Director and #Actor in #FilmMaking History and the ONLY man anywhere in the World who can stop this WOKE nonsence, #SaveStarWars, #SaveAmerica, and give you the GREATEST #StarWars #Film since #Empire — from a #Screenplay that is already written and FULLY inhabits the Original Lore of the first two films ..

  3. The reason bb4 did well is because it was made relatively cheap, a lot of people are barely scraping by so they need to be made cheap so the fraction that are able to go see a movie are able too. We are in the era of pirating everything because we actually can’t afford anything.

  4. Austin Powers 4 could work today, but it'd have to parody the Daniel Craig Bond films, do a deconstruction of the character of Austin Powers and make an over the top gritty take on the movies and characters but with that absurd humor sprinkled in. I could see there being a parody of Raoul Silva who, removes his whole cheek bone, and then he reaches back in and removes the other, then he pops out one of his glass eyes, then like pulls an entire golf club out of his mouth.

  5. Doesn't surprise me one bit that Will needed a hit and goes back to the tried and true franchise that has worked for Stallone over and over. Like any franchise Rocky, Die Hard, Rambo, Pirates of the whatever, Transformers, Fast and Furious 15 or 16 lost count. Just a generic sequel not a true blockbuster. I have a lot more faith in the next Jackass movie to be honest with a lot more laughing.

  6. I would disagree with Theory about action films being the way to go. They are basic, generic, formulaic A to B plots and will get boring quite quickly because once you have seen a few you have seen them all. You need a mix of genres rather than a reliance on one that focuses on quality, story and characters.
