Round 3 "No Limit" – For this competition the kids were separated into ‘units’ – rap, vocal & dance. ‘Mayfly’ consisted of the groups Ateez, BTOB & Stray Kids. Their rap division had five rappers – one ea. from Ateez & BTOB, then the three from Stray Kids that are the 3Ratcha.rap members. The other unit’s merged group, named ‘It’s One’ were IKON, The Boyz & SF9. Their rap unit had one member each from those three groups. Both songs, Full DaSH & Colours, were originals, taylor-made for the show.

Finally you react to this one!! I never get tired of watching this performance…<3 The test that week consisted of mixing the members of all the groups and working together. And they created three sections: the rappers, the vocalists and the dancers/visuals. For each category there were two groups, one would always have 3 members and the other with the rest. In the case of rappers, they had to create the song, lyrics, beat, etc.; In the case of the dancers, they had to create the choreography. These two categories had to put in a lot of work and develop the entire stage proposal and so on. The vocalists were singing an existing song 😅, but they also put a lot of effort into it.
I hope you react to the two other Mayfly sub groups, dance unit & vocal unit! The whole Mayfly collab was amazing! I rewatch them quite often 🙂

Not going to lie, this was my least favourite performance on kingdom. They did amazing the song just isn’t my taste. Love poem was arguably the best performance ever seen on kingdom ever.
I also can’t un hear “Rick and Morty” at every chorus 😩🤣
This collaboration made such a beautiful friendship bloom between groups. Also the show in which everyone adopts Felix.
Best part about kingdom was all teams genuinely appreciating and hyping up each other's performances, specially in collab stages, regardless of whether it was their team of one their competing against!!!!!!

I started watching Kingdom because of Stray Kids and now I watch all of it over and over. I know certain groups won certain stages etc but I think the true winners were the fans, new and existing. It was a great platform to show their talents to us. I also listen to a lot of Ateez and SF9 because of that competition.
Mayfly will forever be the most precious thing to happen on kingdom! i hope you watch the other 2 performances of wolf and love poem, both are mind blowing!

Mayfly was such an amazing collaboration. You could just tell watching the show that all the groups really respected each other and their contributions. No wonder all three performances turned out so legendary. I can't even count the number of times I've listened to Love Poem, (the vocal unit performance).

It is unfortunate that the actual K-Pop group "Kingdom" is missed so often on Youtube because of the competition "Kingdom: Legendary War". I'd recommend a look, but it might take a bit of sorting to weed out this competition first.

Aaahhhh you saw Mayfly!!! Man, this is such an amazing piece of art! It slaps so hard musically, but the message slaps just as hard. Absolutely fantastic. And yes, the other team was nervous. With right. Mayfly ruled kingdom.

This was by far one of my favorite Kingdom performances because they all mesh well together and had the best time making this track.
Ngl bobby was not worried, he was by far the best rapper in the show though he did not care at all about truly winning it. He is in the top3 best kpop rappers and is a absolute beast.
This song is sooo good! I wish it was released as a collaboration.
Bangchan did the beat, of course, but each of them wrote their raps. This was my favorite Kingdom episode.

Project Mayfly was the most temporary supergroup, and yes, it still holds up. You should look up the vocal unit doing IU's "Love Poem". It's GORGEOUS. Just Jongho (ATEEZ), Seungmin (Stray Kids) and Eunkwang (BTOB). They all bring something different, but it WORKS so well. I can't listen to it without tearing up.
The other 2 teams were
Song Wolf: which had San, Seonghwa, Yeosang, and Wooyoung/ Lee Know, I.N, and Flex and one of Btob
Then song: Love Song
Jongho, another Btob, and Seungmin. They are both incredible
The Kingdom competition was a complete culture shock to me. I watched it at the time because I was a fairly new Stay and wanted to see SKZ perform live, but I grew up hating western competition shows, and was expecting Kingdom to be more like them. You know, in western competition shows, the rivalry is usually mean-spirited, with contestants putting each other down in interviews and acting like bitter enemies.
But this show was amazing! There's competition, but all the groups were respectful, friendly, happy for each other's wins and sorry for each other's losses. Felix even spent a huge amount of money and time to personally bake cookies for all the artists and staff when the challenges were becoming more stressful.
