Many years i have been in denial of this rift. I would go out of my way to avoid articles and vids like these. I guess i have to face the fact these two werent best buddies.

I love that this was a question about Jamie that instantly devolved into an explanation of a past experiment. Just gotta keep answering those emails i guess 😂
The two minie balls fused is more likely the result of squib load. Aka the first minie ball did not come out of the barrel. The solider then rammed another bullet down the barrel and shot. Thus expelling both minie balls. I just don’t see it happening from open field warfare. What most folks don’t realize is you don’t just need the super low chance of the minie balls finding each other in the air, but the angle of attack would have to be exactly the same for the balls to fuse. Sure it could happen 1/1000000000000 times. But the fact that we’ve found numerous “fused” minie balls proves it’s most likely squib shots we’re finding. Just my .02
i like he states just directly, " the show worked man" in the tone he did, cause it shows despite everything going on behind the scenes and personally, how opposite they were and Jamie being a but more reserved and having his space completly invaded amd taken over while filming, despite it all, the still came together and did some really cool stuff and made engineering and science popular in a way it had never really been with the amount of folks being interested in what they were doing.

I really appreciate everything Jamie did for Mythbusters, you really worked well together on screen. It truly was Adam The Unstoppable Force against Jamie The Immovable Object, and that character dynamic was really good to watch. I hope that whatever he’s doing right now, he’s enjoying just doing whatever he wants.
I did not like Jamie. He was very negative, and it was as if you could see and feel it.

I remember an episode where Jamie nearly got crushed by a palm tree when you were moving in into your shop, and the classic where Grant (R.I.P.) got hit in a bad place with a hammer. It could be that there were reasons not to work on such an excellent show.
Jamie is so intelligent as to be intimidating in his seriousness. I would feel like I had secured world peace just by making him laugh.
Might a collaboration between Adam and Mr. Lynch be possible in the future?

People can't wake me up, physically such as nudging my shoulder etc… I am violent when awaken that way. I have a severe startle response. I never knew this about myself, my wife, as much as I hate to admit it, found out literally the week we married and she moved in with me. I will never live that day down, but, she now wakes me up at a distance by loudly saying "honey, its time to get up for work" etc.. 😢

Jamie looked really serious, and I think he hated it and tolerated it mostly
I always crashed hard midday, and even got in trouble at a job in the past for passing out at my desk while coding. Every night I'd crash at my computer desk and wake up with a sore neck in the middle of the night and go to bed. Then during COVID I got a CPAP, because it turned out I had severe sleep apnea, and I haven't had those kinds of crashes since. I don't even get that 2 o'clock exhausted feeling. I'm pretty bright-eyed and bushy-tailed all day long. If you crash hard throughout the day, it may be something to look into (anyone, not talking [just] to Adam here).
