D.C.-area forecast: Heat returns this weekend, temperatures near 100 early in the week
Today (Saturday): Clouds and any leftover showers will wane through the morning, leaving us partly cloudy for the afternoon. Rain may hold on a bit longer in southern Maryland. It’s humid and seasonably hot with temperatures mainly near and above 90. Winds should be light and variable, but turning to come from the south with time. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Warm and muggy conditions are settling in. Temperatures range from about 73 to 78 for lows. Perhaps a patch or two of fog late night, but otherwise mainly clear. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: More stars than clouds. We should see temperatures fall to the low or mid-70s in the cool spots, with upper 70s to near 80 in the warm ones. Confidence: Medium
A look ahead
Let’s keep it short for Monday and Tuesday as you’ll probably want to spend both inside if you can. Loads of sun and very hot. Actual highs should rise to within a few degrees either side of 100 depending on where you are. Humidity is also probably high enough to send heat indexes — or how it feels — toward 110. Confidence: Medium
