Genetics play a significant role in hair l0ss. If u have a family history of hair loss, u might be mor susceptible to this effect…
Started taking 5 grams of naked creatine a day and after 3 weeks started putting on some muscle but noticed my hair was thinning so I stopped the creatine and my hair stopped thinning I know building muscle increases DHT so I will increase Fo- ti it is a DHT blocker
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing!
Can we give a shout out to the Alpha male actor for being such a good sport!
Like listening to an opera singer. Such a beautiful voice😂
Bulllshit it's not testosterone
I love that guy in the Apha tank top – funny dude! Looks like someone I'd be friends with.
i thought creatine was not hormonal
Nah… it doesn't cause hair loss
Any studies on 60+ individuals?
Just a heads up, alot of comments will say they have experienced some form of hair loss due to taking creatine. While this might be true, it's important to keep in mind that the people who watch these videos are the ones experiencing hair loss and thus looking it up which might lead to an overrepresentation.
As with most things, take it with a grain of salt.
Can I still maximize my genetic muscular potential without using creatine? I eat in a calorie surplus, Push pull legs 2x week, 1 g/lb protein, 8 hrs sleep. Am I leaving gains on the table?
I am 73. I have been taking creatine since 2016. I still have a full head of hair.
Lol to late I’m bold already…so🤔
I've been taking creatine for 13-14 years so far and still have all of my hair! 😂😄
Thank you for this video. Finally the truth. One pathetic small study and everyone freaks out over creatine. Creatine does NOT cause hair loss.
Current studies dosent support
I still have a lot full and long hair with 45+ and i use creatine since decades…..so no from a long time user. Mostly there are just 2 things cause hair loss….genetics or due to illness.
But as no human is like the other it could be that some are more sensitive to it. The same as some can smoke, drink, use steroids and eating fast food all the time and get away with it for years and years.
Serious question : could we get a vid on how you grew out your hair. The flow is awesome.
I've been working out for 20 years. My hair loss started after taking creatine monohydrate for 3 month, and hair loss stopped after stop taking creatine. CREATINE defenatly cause hair loss.
I’m already bald, so I don’t care. 🧑🏽🦲
Masvidal got back in shape!
All the tests should have done with men who suffered DHT sensitive hair follicles! That's the key. If your hair follicles are DHT sensitive you are f*cked! If not, you can even do AS like it's candy and you will not lose 1 hair more.
Being in pharmacology most of my career, creatine has been studied extensively. There is no data supporting alopecia. There are close to 500 studies on creatine. It is a chain 3 Amino acid found in nature. Also take L-Arginine. It's a vasodilator. Makes vascularity pop.
So when I first started taking creatine I started taking the HCl creatine and I was taking too much one school before and one scoop after workout in my strength was significantly increased but I did suffer from air loss so when I stop taking creatine my hair started coming back so I believe the creatine increases the DHT levels in our bodies and for example when you take monohydrate do not do the loading face because you’re just increasing the DHT level you just take the regular amount of 5 g or less depending on your muscle size and you should be fine you won’t lose hair
This video and similar like it are trying to debunk the hair loss effect by mere lack of evidence. Remember people, when people say "there's no evidence" it does NOT mean something is proven false, it simply means there's not enough evidence to prove it. There's a big difference! Sometimes people even "debunk" stuff with the "there's no evidence" line when in fact the matter has NOT been studied at ALL! But unknowing people will think it's been proven false, when no such thing has been done!
When it's comes to creatine there's is ZERO direct studies on creatine and hair loss!! Thus creatine causing hair loss has NEVER been debunked!! They've only studied creatine and DHT levels (on serum!!), but none have studied actual hair loss OR to my knowledge the accumulation of DHT in hair follicles/scalp.
But if u go to any forum/video on creatine and hair loss, u will find countless people (like here!) telling how creatine HAS caused them hair loss! And u will also find people saying how they've done creatine for decades with full set of hair, so what's the deal?!
Here's the deal: IF u are predisposed to (male pattern) baldness, creatine WILL accelerate it! IF u are not, u are good to go!
Here's my story: I started bodybuilding not until I was 26. Up to that point I always had a long, thick hair that has been my trademark. I think I started doing creatine on my 2nd year. When I was 29 I noticed for the first time thinning on top of my scalp! This made me worried, but I had no idea what had caused it. Also my dad still had full hair and was about 50 at the time. I took creatine for years, but eventually got tired of the bloated look, so I stopped. It wasn't until then that I read about creatine causing hair loss! Some say when they stop creatine their hair gets back to normal, mine never did… By the time I stopped, I already had a distinct bald spot on top of my head, but my dad still had full hair! It's crazy that I started balding before my dad! It wasn't until my dad was 60+ when he also started to get the bald spot. But currently my bald spot is at least twice as big as my dads! I've tried all kinds of things including Minoxidil to grow my hair back, but nothing has worked 😥
TL;DR Basically creatine accelerated my hair loss by 30 years!! That's insane!! 😨🤯💀
Thanks for the great video. I just found this pure creatine and it's suggesting taking 10 grams a day. Isn't that way way too much
It is a good joke when guy with long curly hair covering hair loss🙂
tomo creatina há dois anos e não tenho problema com queda de cabelo
"they" want to scare men into not taking creatine because it makes us stronger.
same with the whole eggs + cholesterol, and red meat + cancer
all BS to keep men weak
if you are genetically predisposed to hair loss, creatine will speed up the process considerably. I lost alot of hair on creatine and regret using it. Its only temporary gains anyway.
Could you pretty please use a party 🥳 balloon or some sort of Ai application for your voice thanks keep it up ❤ your content 👍
As long as I've been using creatine, I've been losing scalp hair. Creatine has also makes hair grow out of my ears and nose. Also, it has changed my hair color from golden to grey.
Just looking at your hair is good enough for me !
I shave my head, but i can say that since starting the supplementation routine that i do, my beard and body hair(unfortunately!), has gotten thicker and grows faster.
Please……lol. If this was true your hair wouldn't be long!!!! Kojack never took creatine!!!
Believe it or not, my facial hair has increased big time after taking creatine just for a month. No joke.
And how many, "Creatine made my hair fall out" stories have a control group? Looks like the people with those stories started taking creatine at the very beginning of their fitness journey when their test levels were tanked.
