  1. Ive come accross at times people who lie like this, but to take it to murder rather than just owning up to the lies, unimaginably touched by malevolence.

  2. I’m laying in bed listening to this story for at least the 2nd or 3rd time. I’m thinking, he faked his injury? I had a hip replacement surgery and a stroke within the same year and I have to use a cane to get around, I’d do anything to be able to swim and run again. I was 38 and 39, respectively. Life is cruel sometimes.

  3. Unaliving your own parents. She kept you in her tummy for 9 months bearing all pain. Then your father compromised things to take care of you. They raised you, feed you, kept roof on your head. So sad man so sad.

  4. I think it's important to note that some parents are just bad at parenting. They wouldn't accept failure as option, they would scream and beat the child if they don't exceed parents' expectations. That will create a scared teen who will lie and scheme around just so they don't get screamed at and beaten, but they would receive some love.
I know this because that's how my childhood was. I was really scared to tell my parents i wasn't doing good. It was unacceptable that my peers are better than me, and those who i am better than, they are not important.. I had whole web of lies and stories just to go by.. Eventually, once i grew up, i realized there is nothing more to lie about. My mom grew older, she calmed down and i realized that was her way of trying to make me successful. Was it a wrong way? Yeah, but she didn't know of any other way. I love my mom and i am grateful for her the way she is. Nowadays i don't hide anything, they accept me the way i am and actually just support all my decisions. I am grateful for that

  5. Thank you so much Mr. B. I’ve been searching for an organization that helps victims and families. I will definitely look into donating because I am a criminal justice enthusiast and the families are who I really feel sad for. I want to help.

  6. This is really similar to something that happened in Markham, Ontario. A girl claimed to be going to university, but kept lying to her parents about it. They would drive her to school each day, and she would get out. Go inside the school then wander around all day.

Eventually when things started to get suspicious and her parents began asking too many questions, she hired a boyfriend and his thug friends to do a home invasion where they attempted to kill her parents. Her mother died, but her father survived. He witnessed her speaking calmly with the attackers, and knew she was in on it. There was a poorly done Netflix documentary on it as well. But I’m sure Mr. Ballen could do it better. Just interesting the similarities.
