You can’t fix stupid. 🤪
The take away here. Is that there are idiots on the road. Who I wouldn't let drive my grandsons tricycle.
Maybe Full Self Driving isn't so bad afterall
Can’t believe the speed of those vehicles considering the road conditions. 😨
Stop crashing!
Wow you guys in America have terrible drivers. Jesus.
When you get into a wreck get off of the highway so that oncoming traffic don't hit you that would be my take away
why do people stay in their car in the middle of the road ? why don't they park on the side or just leave and wait behind the shoudler ??
The takeaway is if your driving into headlights your an idiot
I don’t understand why tf someone would just sit in the middle lane after a crash. Makes no sense. You limp the now piece of shit over if at all possible. You don’t SIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
"preserve the crime scene" is what many drivers think when they get hit, instead of getting out of the road. "I was here officer, you can see where I slid after being hit so it wasn't my fault". Defensive driving often doesn't cover what to do in these situations.
What could have caused the first car to swerve? An abrupt lane change?
the person who hit the stationary car should never drive again
More iced over bridges… [The cause…]
Wie kann man das Fahrzeug da nicht sehen😳😁🤦🤦
Possible take away is get off your damn phones.
Playing on their phones.
Absolutely no hazard lights by anyone, what the hell??
Don’t drive to fast for conditions m! AND PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS.
Definitely pizza.
Freeway crashes are the worst because cars keep speeding through assuming the freeway is clear. I hate to watch when someone breaks down or crashes on the freeway, we know it's going to be worse, every time. I hope people weren't terribly injured in this one!
Totally distracted drivers all in a big hurry …they must think they are in self driving cars….electric self driving cars this is what we have to look forward toooo!!!!!!! How wonderful
Take-away: Pay attention to the road. Driving comes first.
Drivers aren't given enough warning when a crash occurs up ahead.
We have so many people in government, there should be at least 1 person in each DOT monitoring traffic and making messages appear on reader-boards on the highway when there's a crash. People being metered on on-ramps should be notified immediately there so that when they get on the freeway, they know to go slow.
We live in the Communication/Digital Age, and this kind of communication is stupidly slow for our time!
Did you have any footage or information on the Monticello incident last week?
If you are one of the few people aware while driving and you see a dramatic decrease in speed or a hazard in the roadway turn your flashes on immediately to try and help warn the people behind you. Not enough people do this
My takeaway from this vid, and others ive seen in the same vein, is how drivers on the approach to the crash scene, do little to help mitigate damage and more potential crashes by not responding well. Hit your GD FLASHERS !!
I drive a Non CDL Big Truck and can often see much further ahead. The moment i see ANY irregularity, im slowing down and hitting my flashers. 1) So no one plows into me. 2) So that others behind me will hopefully recognize potential Hazards ahead, and repeat the action to help slow folks down.
Stay off your phone on the Interstate, turn your lights on when its raining, and hit your GD Flashers if something is amiss. A turn signal isnt good enough and someone approaching isnt going to necessarily think there's danger, rather a slow driver or someone changing lanes.
Source: I drive HUNDREDS of Miles a week, City and Interstate, for work and a Tens of miles commute to work, both ways. Ive seen a lot, and there's many drivers who clearly are aloof and have no business operating a motor vehicle.
Strange; at 0:23 a vehicle proceeds directly toward a car that has spun around and aiming headlights at the oncoming traffic. Is that a good signal to change lanes? But no, the driver seems to ignore the danger and plows into it.
Check the treads on your tires. Bald tires only serve dragsters well and NASCAR/F1 racers in DRY conditions. But even they will have tires with treads put on in wet conditions.
Old Favorite was "white line fever" aka highway hypnosis. Another bright distraction is overhead LED's lamp do kind mesmerize your vision patch of dark and light and your going 69.5 mph. could it Have been Our Old Road Enemy Freezing Bridge Deck? Friday night was Cold Weather (19F degrees & windchill 8F) and storm front was slowly seeking in to metro ..
I was driving home on 694 and was detoured off the road because of this crash. I can confirm that snow WAS NOT falling at this point in the evening and the roads were mostly dry. When you're in traffic and go past an accident, you always wonder what happened, kind of wild to stumble upon this on YouTube a few days after and see the incident. I hope everyone is okay. Minnesota drivers in general are very passive and initiative, not a great combination in my opinion.
What was that first suv doing in the middle of the road? Was the driver incapacitated and hence couldn’t get out of the on coming traffic?
