  1. US is just in a terrible spot they can't get out of. Everyone can get a gun, a lot of people DO have guns. If they made owning guns illegal, law abiding people would suffer because there still would be a fuck ton of guns in the market and it'd just become easier for criminals. If they keep them legal… this happens.

  2. It’s hard to feel fully like this was an accident because even if there was an intruder you should absolutely announce your firearm and intent to shoot. It is so irresponsible for someone to shoot their firearm without knowing the target 100%. Also, why shoot at someone in your house that isn’t threatening you, you can’t see fully, and is walking away from you? Like even if it was an intruder and he missed the shot it could have hit someone else in the home?

  4. Just another reason why you don’t shoot first and ask questions later , without knowing who you’re shooting at . it could have been a kid he shot . sad situation all around, the victim Kellie just lost her husband Joel and was about to be A Grandmother in April 2025

  5. What was his “huge mistake”?? Title make it sound like it was intentional and he said or did something to cop on his self! He did everything right except living in a very fun UNFRIENDLY state that automatically arrests or charges you. There is no point in having a self or home defense weapons you have to keep locked in a safe!

  6. I'd be hysterical, upset and couldn't be on the phone. I'd be so in shock that I couldn't function enough to have any of my text make sense. He seemed defensive early on after the initial questioning. Why would you "put/hide" the casing under your pillow? Again…he just didn't seem remorseful imo.
