  1. I clicked on this video and I thought it'd be like your previous videos of going around a town seeing how buildings and things have changed over time. Personally not a fan of pictures and music, but that's just me, I'm sure other people prefer it. Of course not being alive in the 60's I wouldn't know, but everything looks so much better. People, the economy, people's attitudes. Everything seemed simpler, happier, better off. Makes me wonder what's going to happen in the next 50 years. 🙁

  2. It's all relative. Being the average Joe in 1968 was probably better because there were more jobs than people to do them in those days. You could quit your job at 10am and find a better one by 2pm is what people used to say. Energy, homes, and education were much more affordable and in line with wages. However, these days cheap credit allows relatively poor people (low or even negative net worth) to live way beyond their means. Shoe salesmen at malls drive newer Audi cars, for example. Any way you dice it we tend to remember the past in a much more favorable way than how we felt about things at that time. The 1990s were full of cultural decay, materialism, and loss of the "we are all in this together" paradigm. Most people my age (late 30s) who were teenagers then remember 99 cent gas and fun times only.

  3. In my area of commie-fornia they are trying to have a second coming of the great smog genocide. I even got a letter in the mail from some program asking me to scrap my 68 impala. Meanwhile everyone here is driving a prius not realizing the creation of just one of their batteries causes more enviormental harm than the entire lifespan of my car.

  4. Excellent job, I figured it had something to do with your car. The pictures really brought back memories, we had several of the cars pictured. The picture of the BiCentential girls really brought back memories of work. We were a small Foodservice Dist., and Campbell Soup came out with a special flavor, "Chicken Corn Chowder" with 1976 on the label, I still have the end of the case somewhere.

  5. Nice piece of filming of the fury with the piano music, something from a bygone era patiently waiting it's turn to live again. The pictures of people with mobile phones are all too familiar, I've never really got it myself, but it's such a common sight, people lost in their phones that are for whatever reason more interesting than the present company or activity. Has society evolved over the past 49 years? That could start an argument or two, we've moved forwards in so many ways, yet in some fundamental ways people seem to be going backwards from what I see. Not stupidity exactly, but a combination of laziness and a certain lack of curiosity or willingness to even try and connect the dots.
