Car Fire on the Interstate with Secondary Crash The Importance of Quick Clearance
Cleaning up a burnt car on the Interstate and having to dispatch another rollback, tilt-tray, wrecker, for a secondary crash that occurred during the traffic backup from the car fire while we were still on scene. Thanks for watching and God bless. https://www.paypal.me/RotatorRon

Depending on how hot that fire burned yeah it definitely weak in that metal. And again like the video with the totaled Oldsmobile. This is a Pontiac and I’m not a GM fan but I’m a history fan and any car that’s no longer manufactured that I hate to see it destroyed like that.

i aint know Ron Pratt's job was in missouri :0
God bless keep up the good work love watching you on YouTube
That's a pretty unique way of lifting a vehicle lol watch your back on traffic please be careful and safe
Enjoyed watching the video Ron 😊
Does the turbo charger spool up when using the winch? Are the winches hydraulic?
Love youvids and great personality, God bless
Will you be able to come over to Cincinnati Ohio
Great job cleaning up that mess. Blessings. 🙏👠👠
Crispy critters, smell awesome don't they?
I have mentioned several times I was a dispatcher back in the late 90’s and 2000 for nine years and would be good if dispatchers watched this gives you more knowledge of what the driver is dealing with when your talking with him. This channel is the best.
Coming late to these videos. Great way to learn about the process. Who pays for your services on runs like this?
Ron Pratt and Midwest… simply the best!
Funny thing I’ve realized,I was brought up in a different generation and our priority was to respond in a hurry ,give the ambulance a route of exit and get that vehicle loaded, clean up and keep the lanes blocked to a minimum. Now adays seems like I’m the only one rushing! They look at me like I’m goofy.Recovering cars off of the railroad tracks was a mad rush,Police did not have the authority to stop the trains.Ron great job ,shoveling the melted plastic stuck to the asphalt is a tough task. Please keep up the good work
Faz a legenda é porque eu sou do Brasil eu não entendo o que você fala por favor legenda em português
Awesome job brother glad no one was injured in this one
I’m guessing this car is going to go to a scrap yard
The burnt car is a Camry?
🙂
Thank god that wasn’t the LS powered GXP, those are rare as hell.
Though this GTP Does have drilled and slotted rotors, so someone definitely put some money into it, my guess is the 3800 overheated and driver was still pushing it hard not knowing it was on fire.
06 grand prix 201000 miles
Another great job done by you Ron
Free come and get while still hot
Oh no the car is fire
Do you ever have problems with debris blowing out of the car, when the windows are gone, like this one?
Thanks for showing the how(s) and Why(s) when attempting to tow/recover a vehicle. I really learned a lot from you. Keep up the good work.
Is there ever a good burned car? I would hope NOT. Yes folks a total melt down. I guess no interstate bake-off today. The Pontiac won without competition.
For sale:
Grand prix trunk lid, rear bumper and tail lights.
Used. Slight charcoal smell.
Push broom.
And I seen that Marten Trucking Co. Running right by your door and had room to move over. That is ridiculous and the company should have been contacted.
God bless you too!
Do you ever drop your bags?
Way to go Marten Transport, stay in right lane while all others are in left lane too impatient.
I thought 'FLAT BEDS' ( As We Call Them in NJ)
came equipped to allow towing of a 2nd car.
Can save rolling another rig, and you MAY have been able to take care of the secondary crash.
Just a thought.
GREAT VIDEOS!
THANK YOU for taking us along!
Darn we weren't invited to the car.b.que just the cleanup
0:37 uh Ron…. you might want to check the big and square mirror to the right because…. one of the hooks is dragging on the road.

Tuff job.
Amen and great job Ron
U can replace a car or truck not some one
Car fires are the absolute worst . The mess is ridiculous & the smell lingers forever lol .
"The interior is a toast"
Yeah… Literally.
Based on the wheels and the drilled & slotted rotors, I'm going to say that was a Pontiac Grand Prix GT; possibly a 2000.
