What's the title of the video you mention about writing 5-15 pages a day? I need it!
Is there sites where I could publish episode stories? I'm not looking for it to be made into a show or on tv… just want to write.

Just in time. I'm going back to doing this after writing several rejected pilots (all for the same story) a few years back. I'm writing a new story but I'd like to be better informed. One of the issues was writing it as a comedy but also it was more American based (I'm in the UK), which may have affected things. I need to better understand the techniques. Looking forward to the video.

I find this very useful and insightful. You might have already done this but, an alternate video where you break down the pilot of something less episodic and more sitcom essenced would be incredibly useful as well.

Breaking bad, while an awesome show, was ridiculous and unbelievable.. a Nobel prize winner teaching high school with money trouble is ridiculous.. in real life he could teach at any university in the country l, including Ivy League schools making great money..sooo ridiculous

Mr. Mowery, Your video was very informative. I enjoyed it but I must agree to disagree with your assessment of the need of writing teams. I'm old school and back in the day Movies and TV programs were driven by a single writers vision. The adage still holds true 'To many cooks spoil the broth'. Greats like Sidney Sheldon and others wrote a script and the director used it to reflect his vision. Back then that was the NORM. In this era of TV and Film you are correct that groups are the new norm. Our style of creation all but died and so did good story telling. Now Hollywood hires tons of teams just to come up with one concept and it's horrible. They've thrown all the basics of storytelling out and replaced them with left field politics and delusional ideologies. With all the flops being produced these days they need to scrap these new producers and writers and go back to the basics. I'm working on 20 concepts myself I plan to toss into the ring and I needed no team to do them. Stephen King was correct when he said "Creative writing can NOT be taught." Like good comedy either you have the timing and story telling abilities or you don't. I wish you continued success in this field.

I am currently producing an Indie Animated Series based on Musical theatre, Tragicomedy and Nihilism and i find this really helpful! I was worried I wouldn't get good first impressions but now that I am close to the basics of writing through research, online Film-making classes and tips i think I may be able to finish the full animation, Writing and Teaser of the pilot in about between 7 months and a year. It will probably take more time, but these are still great tips!
Just what l need. Won't happen but I'm working on a t.v. concept. Im trying to map out the entire series.this way I can plan ahead of time without the clock ticking,the series finale and make it better. The concept dovetails perfectly with a philosophical premise. Freewill vs determinism, what it means to be a human being- the law of personal identity. The law OF identity etc.

If I want to make an animation TV show, can I write it and plan the characters and chose the animation style but send it to Netflix (for example) to make it into an actual tv show because that’s what I’m thinking of doing.
