The reason for that is because of what police have done to INNOCENT people time and time again (on camera, no less with little consequence over an extensive period of time). There's a term for it, it's called blowback. Antagonize a dog long enough and don't be surprised if it bites you. I'm so tired of hearing the phrase: police officers have a difficult job. Yeah, so what?! Teachers, nurses, doctors, firefighters, and retail workers also have a difficult job. Stop crying and serve the people like you're supposed to in an objective, PROFESSIONAL manner. The only people for abolishing the police are people who want to live in a lawless country or idiots who don't even understand what the hell doing that even means. However, a police officer's job is to protect others first, and him/herself second. Their job is to make sure I get home safe FIRST—not themselves (at the cost of another person's life or for their own convenience, second). If you can't do that, you shouldn't be a fucking officer. And.. you shouldn't be surprised when the public criticizes you—that too comes with the territory. Otherwise "protect and serve" is nothing more than a slogan useful for a bummer sticker or a stupid mission statement, instead of what it should be, an unwavering conviction demonstrated through action every goddamn time they wear their badge and vest.

I support the officers, I don't support law enforcement as a whole. Cops are just doing their jobs and the media makes them out to be monsters. Of course those people do exist, but they are few and far between. The media sensationalizes black shootings by police officers because they are enforcing the narrative. More white people die in America to police shootings than black people. You never see that on the news.

They would want the police to arrest the individuals who did them harm. Also, I have been laughing my socks off about the de-fund the police campaign. I'm so glad that we have Senator Cruz in our White House. He does his homework before these meetings and I feel he firmly has all us as citizens backs. We need so many more people in the White House like Sen. Cruz that truly cares for all of us. More than I can say sadly for the other's!! The police department has a hard, but mostly a dangerous job and they try to protect us.
