  1. BibleProject creates free resources to help you experience the Bible. Everything we make is funded by generous supporters around the world. You can see our entire video library, check out our other resources, and give at bibleproject.com.

  2. Thank you so much for this video! I just finished reading 2nd Chronicles and your brief summation has been very helpful in my understanding of the writings. What a physical and spiritual journey!!! Come again soon Lord & King Jesus!!!🙏😊💖

  3. 5:43 the sentence is not incomplete, it's just completed in another book: the book of Ezra (see chapter 1:2-3, and in the hebrew text, the last verse of II Chronicles36:23 is almost the same text as in Ezra 1:2-3), and it gives the perfect conclusion to the so called "unfinished statement" in chronicles: Thus says Koresh (Cyrus) king of Paras (Persia), The Lord God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever is among you of all his people, let his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel; (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem. There is a little change in the very ending, but that doesn't change a lot.

  4. Lol, ironically, I actually think Saul's persecution of David (or rather, how David handled it) actually shows just how strong and Godly he was. So that seems like a weird thing to leave out. Obviously, in retrospect, it's even weirder, considering how much Jesus, the Messiah, himself, was persecuted. Not to mention how much we, his children who've joined his kingdom, have been persecuted over the centuries. Seeing how David, and Jesus, handled their persecution is invaluable to us!

  5. Thank you Bible Project, your illustrations really helped us to have a great understanding of the messages in the bible 🥰 God bless your ministry 🙏🏻

  6. Oh man. They originally planned the entire Old Testament to come to end on an incomplete sentence? Sheesh. I mean kind of inspiring that they didn't intend to give it an end, but also bit of a let down to come to a random screeching halt. Just my own opinion of course.

  7. I am grateful you both and your team and your families. Thank you for teaching me the entire Old Testament. I pray the Lord bless you and keep you and causes his face to shine upon in the name of Yeshua Hamashiac Amen. I’m watching this 7years after and I’m soo grateful. All glory be to God YHWH for he alone is worthy to be praised .

  8. Seems like this author was trying to bring hope to the people at the time. Perhaps those who had faith back then were struggling to find that thread that gave them hope of the coming saviour. Kind of reminds me of today. People need a thread made clear to them that a King is real and that there IS hope now and He IS coming back.
I love your videos and this was no exception. It’s such a blessing to see and hear the scriptures from a birds eye point of view. 🙏

  9. I love these animated presentations from the Bible Project. I'm nearly 60 years of age, yet I really enjoy watching these. We were introduced to these in a marriage class at our church called Reengage.
