The Song is timeless
Listen live , production video by Dems. / socialist.
I watch reactions to experience songs a love for the first time through somebody else. Hope that makes sense. Lol
I was the only one in the band in the 1990's that had an Ozzy type growl in my voice so I always sang this one. This song is a powerful statement against the war mongers in DC. Vietnam was the war of the day. It has only gotten worse since the 70's. I don't know the whole catalogue from Black Sabbath but this song is a plea for righteousness to be done!
A bit of history here: the war pig was a technique developed by the Roman legions against Carthago and their elephants of war, based on the idea that a pig runs straight when set on fire and an elephant is panicking in the vicinity of fire. Thus a war pig is a unit sacrificed during battle.
black sabbath shes gone song gives me chills
Boomers and religious people were telling us that heavy-metal was the Devil’s music. Black Sabbath was literally writing antiwar songs. That’s how I learned not to believe boomers… Or religion…
I still can’t believe T-Pain covered this and killed it😅😅
I first heard this on cassette in the 80's….I think anyone who grew up to cassette tapes could relate to them being eaten up and you'd have to grab the pencil and put your cassette back in order. So when I first heard the ending of this song, I ran to my radio thinking the cassette was being 'eaten up' 🙂
Just goes to show different decade same mess.
For all the young people thats Tony Iomi on guitar, Ozzy Osbourne lead vocals, Geezer Butler on bass and Fred Ward on drums. Class resumes tomorrow
Best anti war song ever written. Still relevant. Ozzy s voice is strong in this. Utopias song hiroshima is a close second to this as far as anti war songs go.
I'm playing catchup after returning from holidays, so I'm going newest to oldest. I've gone from Dion and Pavarotti to Black Sabbath. Hmmm. Quite a difference there, but both enjoyable, and both relevant. Both deserve their place in our living musical journey.
its commendable of you to include songs like this in spite of your intention to be a place of refuge from all of that. ill tell you why i come here: its bcuz of honest reactions. best of luck to your channel and ill be back soon, keep up the good work.
More please. And by the way, your hair looks gorgeous !
I hate how true this song is and it makes me sad it won't change until we're all dead 😢
Black Sabbath 1968-eternity🤘
It’s anti-war song that everyone should listen to!
Hey stuff is real
You are pretty btw. Stay that way k?
Love ya. Great reaction. Very uncomfortable. You are young.
Joe biden?
Sometimes you just have to face the music 🫡🇺🇸
Your disinterest in this song surprised me.
Metallica One
I just love how this band that many consider to be Satanic, declare how all of the War Pigs facing God's Judgement and punishment in the end. Yes Jesus who proved that he was God via his Resurrection and in several other ways will return as promised. This time in Great Power and glory to Judge the living and the dead and to put an end to this corrupt world system that is drenched in evil and causes so much human suffering and death! Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Thank you Angie !! i'm with you i like my music to forget the bad stuff. but the song was done in the height of Vietnam
I don’t think she understands. The concept of people writing anti-war songs.
The true start of Heavy Metal here , Perhaps songs like Paranoid or Sweet Leaf is less harrowing on you.
Paranoid was their first hit song 1970
Sweetie, songs like this are way above your pay scale. It was easy to see that, and no, you don't try and dance to this song, you learn from it.
I'm with you, prefer happy song.
classic sab!
If you think about it, war has always and will always be here, as long as there are people. Also, songs around that time were going to have some tinge of war and destruction surrounding them. However, hard content or not, you can always zone out with War Pigs because of the fabulous guitar and drums and Ozzy being Ozzy! It is like GoodNight Saigon by Billy Joel – I admit if I listen to the lyrics, I start bawling, but it is such a beautiful song at the same time. Fear not!
Music has been one of the best ways to protest and get the message out. Music is resistance.
One of the very best anti-war songs ever, it caused many an argument back in the day and patents in general did not get it. It you listen to the lyrics, it is totally right and the music helped propel the message. Also one of their best tunes, no matter the subject. Bill Ward is sick on the drums but is matched by the power and glory of Iommi, Butler and the one and only Ozzy. Talk about a band having it all together right away, 1970 is a seminal year in Rock History with the first 2 Sabbath albums and amazing !music from dozens of artists. More Sabbath, from the same album, do Electric Funeral for more great vibes. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
I'm sorry you didn't like the song. here are some Black Sabbath songs with a positive message – The Wizard – Planet Caravan – After Forever – Into the Void – Tomorrow's Dream – and – Spiral Architect. I really hope you give them another chance. Most of their songs are actually warnings against evil if you really listen and maybe check the lyrics.
Great point about how things change but they’re always the same. It’s a great song to return to though because it really illustrates that very point. It can be good to get in touch with that feeling just to deal with the frustrations of the reality. Great art can help you escape and deal with the world in a way that helps you process reality in a safe, healing way. Music is great for that, and I think Black Sabbath created a cocoon we can all go into to deal with all of the feelings regarding war in a healthy way. Music can help get feelings out, which can help you move through the difficulties of living with the reality. Thanks for a great reaction!
I have a great one for you to lighten the mood. A complete opposite of war. "Shanty" by Johnathon Edward's. You will love it!
Great songs are always relevant. This is a great song. Never more relevant than today.
Perfect song for today's world. Wake up, people.
Your exactly right Day in what you said, I try to ovoid watching the news because they always seem to concentrate on the bad things but we all know and you and me that there are plenty of good things that also happened, but they don't tell us the good news. These news channels should get a good slap in the face telling me about everybody that died today in the world, how is that beneficial to anybody? And they all wonder why young people today suffer from depression and anxiety, just watch the news. But War Pigs is a great anti war song telling the generals and the government to stick it right up their Ass, absolutely love it!
Black Sabbath ❤ uno de los tres famosos de la llamada "Trinidad Impía", junto a Deep Purple y Led Zeppelin.
Ellos son los padres del Metal, especialmente Black Sabbath… gracias por tu reacción 😊
This is the basically the start of Heavy Metal
The video was made 40 yrs later by a fan
Just brilliant thank you.
She should have reacted to the Paris 1970 version.
Oh I see you feel for the fake video version that has nothing to do with the song , not put out by Black Sabbath , studio version would have been better , most reactors pay to much attention to the video and not the song or lyrics .
There will always be wars and rumors of wars until the son of man cometh.
