I would put Tony Iommi over Page for riffs, as much as I do love Zeppelin and all its best of class performers. Iommi is the all time master or the dark riff. He came up with a fricking dictionary of heavy metal.
When they first got signed they lived in village called Cradley on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border near to where I live my dad can remember them living there
WILL YOU PLEASE STOP USING THE WORD UNDERRATED? IT IS SOOO TRITE, AND I FOR ONE, AM SO TIRED OF HEARING IT USED TO DESCRIBE MUSICIANS!! RANT OVER,THANK YOU.
Omg ive been listening to sabbath since I was 16yrs old im in my 50s, warpigs-paranoid- into the void- iron man-snowblind- sweet leaf- , and you guys fuckn ruined ozzy in 5mins!.
It's ridiculous how Geezer can write about nearly anything and gives it a transcendantal and poetic dimension . He could have been write about fish and ship and lead you in the cosmos . Aside the riff master and the glorious Bill Ward , Geezer is the hidden genius of the band . Ozzy just gave him a word or a phrase and he made it a song. Ozzy voice is also unique, but as the frontman his role into Sabbath was overestimate . As a solo artist he relyed mostly on Bob Daisley or his fabulous guitarist (wherever they are) to compose.
This is crazy, caught this show in Seattle at the arena, 1977. Headliner Black Sabbath backed up by little known LA group called em selves Van Halen. VH Rocked it to the ground, sabbath looked tired
I have always loved this guitar riff with the snare drum hi hat cymbal riff together is just before it’s time for sure. This WarPigs and Ferry’s ware boots are my favorites anyway Sabbath with Ozzy wow I wish I was alive and able to see them in the mid 70’s I bet they put on some great ones. To me one of the first and best metal or hard rock band ever.🤟🏻

This was the B side of Paranoid. I bought the 7” when it was released, ended up playing it more than the A side

First four Sabbath albums Greatness. Sabbath needed Ozzie and Ozzie needed Sabbath.
Had a band cover this song at one of my house parties 3 times because the female singer was so unreal.
1.5x speed and it almost sounds like System (almost)
Flying LOW blind hers ON
You just be careful on social media sayings the last time you saw snow. 🙃😆
I listened to this song almost every morning in Afghanistan… April 10 – October 10
