Yep, busted!
In his redemption video the arch in his back would make the founder of McDonalds proud
Another Liver King
Snap City
Unfortunately this video popped up 4 years late. I had a life and other responsibilities,.. although I have managed to include some form of working out most of my life.
Weight lifting isn't rocket science,.. even if you put "science based" in front of it,.. and especially if you're using PEDs.
Most who claim to be "science based" show nothing more than papers discussing empirical statistics. And Anatomy is little more than astrology. Yeah you can see the stars,.. but that doesn't tell you how to create or change them.
That's like doing engineering by guessing at the structure of a building and if it fails you make changes until it doesn't fail. That's not "science",.. that's a more organized trial and error.
I haven't seen many if any YT channels discuss the real science,, say the biochemistry behind hypertrophy, the synthesis of protein and other inputs for (natural) muscle growth
Why is a gorilla, man's nearest species, who doesn't work out, has an herbivorous diet,.. 10 times stronger than a human? Or any other species.
And I haven't seen any discuss the physics of work, energy and power as they relate to weight lifting,.. sets reps,.. etc..
Even the guy who claims to be a doctor,.. "Dr" Mike Israetel,… who's just a PHD (which basically means he wrote a book report on something or another) in physiology or something who juices to the hilt.
Anybody can juice and get bigger.
The common thread seems to be,.. and we won't mention the age differences in the comparisons,… you all (this channel, Athlean, Quack Mike,..) can't help but criticize other YTchannels like little gossiping teenage girls.
And you try to couch it in,.. "I'm just trying to show the objective truth for your benefit".
No you're trying to elevate yourself by steeping on other people.
Real benefit, respect and truth comes from,.. you can elevate yourself by staying above the adolescent fray, setting the example and showing results.
Not getting involved in the high school drama.
I think what Sean walked in on Jeff Cavaliere ass ramming his high school sweetheart, because Sean attacks Jeff constantly with baseless crap. Takes jabs at him constantly. Jeff Cavaliere gives out helpful day in day out, and hes been doing it for many years. Sean says alot of controversial takes without substance, helpful sometimes, but alot of way out advice. Personally I think he does controversial stuff intentionally just to get interactions 🤔 They are leagues apart
I hate fake
Wow, that's embarrassing 😂
I did not know that. I mean, okay, he was always obnoxiously braggish. But to me, his physiotherapist advice seemed sound and was what matters most. Tbh, I don't give anything about his swag or how much he lifts. But this is just sad. His credibility is dust if he doesn't address that properly. Did he?
It's 4 years now.🙃
He has clearly made a mistake. Would an apology have been appropriate? Yes. Does it destroy all the good content he has created so far? Absolutely not.
I think this guy is always hating on Jeff out of jealousy you only have 1.13 million followers while Jeff has 13.9 million. Plus I always see this guy discrediting him as a bad fitness instructor? He actually has a lot a great information regarding proper for, stretching, over all good advice I’ve used and have seen great results. I do agree his supplements are over priced but he’s not the only company out there who sells supplements way overpriced. That’s why I always do my research and find the best quality for the most reasonable prices.
Wouldn't be surprised if he was lying about other things. Seeing him fight for his life vs 430lbs shows how much of an exaggeration it was
Very good video.
Jeff knows a lot and us helped millions.
But lack of integrity is not acceptable.
He has a clear dark side, evident from his bullying attitude (more in early years) and likely some issues with his sexuality.
Correct subtitles please, great video though
Nothing more sad and pathetic than a l0ser like you who has to criticize other, WAY MORE SUCCESSFUL youtubers to get the attention you crave. Most hysterical is when you crap on other's supplements and then hawking your own garbage. Man-up, you whining little baby
In conclusion fake strong man and fake natty = fake physical fitness expert
What makes you think he has to tell the truth every single time? An ATHEIST rejected jesus for telling the truth about people and behaviour. Something you seem to agree on. If a person has wisdom, they would have looked at the advice jeff gave about lifting and ignore his practice because ppl can make mistakes. You do not follow jeff but follow jeff AFTER reading his ADVICE. we follow jesus because he did not make mistakes.
Jeff still leading with great info and has great guests .. looks like your video starving for content aged poorly
As a newb, I’ve gone through a lot of YouTube guys trying to get good guidance.
Sean has truly changed how I approach fitness by giving true common sense tips for everyday folks.
Jeff has more knowledge than you, you are using his name to get more views
I didnt realize i was literally 20 pounds dead lift away from his strength but i had better form.
I agree with the people who say that using fake weights doesn't necessarily undermine the messages of the videos he makes. However, it is a failure of integrity and character — isn't that enough to criticize someone for? Why can't we criticize someone for being generally deceptive, even if they make useful or invaluable videos? It's an unacceptable thing to do, but that doesn't make him a charlatan. But it's very much unacceptable.
wait, did you just showed another videos with different weights? why didn't you assumed those were fake? lol
edit: nervermind, 4 year ago lol, another video that jumped the ship for relevance
so Jeff lifted different weights to prove that he can do it just like he was able to do it before 🤣
glad to know you contradicted yourself with this point lol
I love how you can feel the weight through the screen lol
or maybe "I don't think he can do it therefore fake"
FANTASTIC video !
If he was lying about how much weight he was lifting, ads are he was lying about other stuff too!
Fake weights should not be sold.
Is it just for a demo?
Yeah this is old, but first I'm ever seeing it. His response deadlift video: shiity shiity form, gonna hurt himself. I'm nowhere near as ripped as Jeff is and I can hit a bjgger deadlift wjth perfect form than he can; makes me feel pretty good about myself haha
Who cares how much he lifts? He knows more how to fix problems and help people than most of these youtubers. He helped me with shoulder problems and geting in hsape than any other of these selfaclamed "profesionals" 😛
Also you do more than 2 shits about it cos you did a video about it and you are also trying to sell your shit just like anybody alse so you are no better. 🤷♂️
The amount of bullshit in this video is incomprehensible
Disgusting baldman who had nothing better to do than bashing at someone who is 10 times more successful
“I dont care how much weight jeff cavalier can deadlift”
Proceeds to show us how much he cares.
The dude is old and spends time teaching form. Hes not a competing body builder. Who gives a shit. Gargle on your views before you swallow.
The fact he made a vid "using real weights" proves he used fake weights. 😊😊😊
As buff as he is being that lean is gonna keep you weak. If he actually bulked and gained 20-30lbs he would be pretty damn strong.
Wait what? What's wrong with KRE-ALKALIN? I don't buy it from Jeff…
Inplace of your intro, I wanna say I don't give a fuck about how much weight Jeff is lifting in his videos. I have been watching him for more than 6 years now. Only to learn the form and the way NOT to perform an exercise. He has knowledge and thats what I am there for. Also don't give a fuck about his titles. I think the real issue here is a few small youtubers who just want to spur up controversy and get clicks to grow their own channel.
I use Shake Weights, and those bad boys are for Real! 🐐
We need a three-letter agency to weed out and expose the internet grifters.
Let's call it the B.R.O.
His fanboys are the worst. Bunch of noobs.
crazy how they say its fake look at the dude it took me 3 months of inconsistent working out to get to a 405lb deadlift for 2 reps in my apartment were i have to slowly bring it down i also had couple years of upperbody training tho but for someone like jeff i can see him doing 495
This guy is doing ever thing to bring jeff down ..only losers do that
You should get in as good of shape as Jeff before you criticize. Do you even lift, little guy?
All the bs in the industry is social media driven.
i love how he says he dosent care ab Athlean-x jeff but he makes a lot of vids ab him
It is entirely possible that at the time of doing a 495lbs deadlift, Jeff was training heavy. It's also possible that when he did the video with 425lbs that he was using periodization and training other things and simply whipped together a deadlift when he wasn't currently training for heavy deadlifts. I've got a long way to go in my work, but there have been times where I didn't deadlift heavy for over a year, and at the time I could only do about 350lbs on a deadlift, but it only took me about 12 weeks to get back to 415lbs deadlift. Just because what someone is currently capable of, doesn't mean they haven't at some point done something higher. I've had periods where in the Army I'd have only a 290 on my PT score, but that was because I was training for something else, and within 4 months I'd have my score right back up in the 340's. Plausible arguments can be made for Jeff as well. Plus, if you don't believe in his methods, then how do you explain Jessie's transformation? P.S. Touch and go's utilize momentum when the weights strike the ground, so you can actually do more lifts using that, which explains why Jeff did 2 instead of one. Jeff didn't use touch and goes for the 425lb deadlift which means he used a more strict approach.
