The evil guilty Joe Biden government should've been charged for subdividing Asian Americans only! Joe Biden is European Irish man! Donald Trump is European Germany man! And Europeans and African black people were supported by governors to be racism on Asian American, they even said it's " freedom of speech", but if you say something racism to Europeans or African black? the governors would say you're guilty, that's their fking disgusting double standards always!

Before Austronesians sailed to taiwan and the rest of the Pacific they lived in Coastal South China. Austronesians = taiwanese aboriginals, Filipinos, Indonesians, Micronesians, and Polynesians. Anyone from the Austronesian language speaking ethnicities & peoples.
Despite what some of youMFs think most of Polynesia’s ancestors came from Asia. Same goes Micronesia. Melanesians walked to there lands 30-60 thousand years ago.

Congratulations, you’ve just recreated the term “oriental”. Grouping Koreans, with Indonesians, with Hawaiians is reductive and insulting.

Don’t give them an easy answer. Spread awareness on how diverse the Asian community and the Pasifika Community is as well as Micronesian and Melanesian. If they have no idea what you’re talking about then obviously they need to be educated.
All these terms are just lumped together to make it easier for white people. It is not the same.
Also, the Pacific Islands include more than just countries America colonised 🙃

I'm AA and PI. Grandparents were from Okinawa and moved to Hawaii in the early 20th century. We're Uchinanchu.
All Asians are always talked about, but I did not one time hear the word HMONG. Hm…… Are we Asian enough to be consider part of a made up Acronyms by the white folks?

This is why you keep ending up with stuff like Pacific Islander characters being portrayed by Asian actors, or words like "hapa" being appropriated (I hate it for other reasons as well).
Asian and Pacific Islander are two very distinct groups. I dont know why theyre being group together, they have very different cultures and physiology.
I am 1/4 Hakka, 1/4 Cantonese, 1/4 Japanese (Kyushu) and 1/4 Hawaiian. I am definitely an AAPI.
